Agree with everyone else, average movie but really not that bad. I actually thought the ending was too rushed. Some scenes should have been longer, and some shorter, they could have also done much more with the characters. Still worth watching if you have time to spare.
Oh but Lee Jong Suk and Park Bo Young acted quite well. I was impressed by his portrayal of an (below than) average teenager.
Brilliant drama, I would recommend this to everyone. It has hints of realism with characters that are very well thought out. Most importantly this drama has really STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS. Which can be quite rare in kdramas. Almost all the female characters know what they want, aren't ashamed of what they want and work really hard to get what they want. I was really hesitant about this because I know how pageant dramas can be but this is was just really brilliant. It will have you at the edge of your seat almost all throughout the drama.
As much as I love Joo Won, this movie was a disjointed mess. Every scene seemed incomplete and really unfocused. Despite this his acting was really commendable, but the script...ah such a mess....
Does anybody know of any dramas like this one?? (Other than Family's Honor)
You can try, Creating Destiny, which is very adorable...or Ojakgyo Brothers/Family which is realllly heartwarming (and the main lead isn't such a pushover like this one).
Cute movie, a bit over the place at times but overall a fun watch. Wish the romance would have been a little stronger with the main leads, but then again the movie was more about the main girl's growth.
I had put off watching Hana Yori Dango because I had unfortunately watched 1/4 of the mess that was Boys Over Flowers...and HYD WAS NOTHING LIKE THAT.
So....No No No, Nodame is a drama that koreans won't be able to recreate. They will try to create a love triangle where there is none! I love kdramas for what they are but they won't be able to capture the essence of Nodame for the Korean market.
Can someone please tell me when the main lead stops beings a self-sacrificing idiot? I don't know if at ep 11…
Ahh...thanks. As someone commented below, apparently you have to watch at least up to ep 26 to decide whether or not to continue. But I just don't know how much more frustrating it's going to get...!
Can someone please tell me when the main lead stops beings a self-sacrificing idiot? I don't know if at ep 11 I can continue watching, the ridiculous nobility his character is supposed to portray is really frustrating.
" Fangirling has limits; it’s okay to express your meaningful criticism but the stupid fangirling isn’t something that I will ever tolerate." - this! a million times this!
This drama was so weird, the second pairing had a better and more interesting story than the main leads, their plot line was just suffocatingly frustrating to the point where you just skip their parts. Did writer just run out of ideas of what to do with them? One of the weakest endings that I have ever watched. Only recommended if you are really bored.
This drama was just ok, it started off quite well and slowed down in the middle. The main female lead did kind of bring the rest of the cast down, it was hard to connect to her acting. On the bright side she did have good comedic timing. The rest of the cast was good, esp the bully and the one who was being bullied and Na Na! Ending was predictable, a bit rushed and just made you happy the drama ended. Easy watch, would recommended for an in-between dramas drama.
Would not watch again, though it was ok. The story started off pretty good, I liked the fact that the girl was not saccharine sweet but different from normal female leads, but half way through they just lost the plot and it become a mess. Honestly would not watch or recommend.
**slight spoiler** how could no one else be traumatised by what she and her friends did to the other girl from the noble family; they basically paid someone to rape her, and the movie tried to pass it off as a joke. That scene gave me the shivers.
Dear lord, KSBKBT. As with most Indian dramas, this was really good in the beginning and after a while they seemed to just put the story through the grinder, squeezing any life out of it. I can't even believe it went on for as long as it did. Indian soaps, they're only good for about the first 50-70 eps and then it's all downhill from there. (Pakistani dramas are completely different though, they're short and usually amazing).
Also, this article was hilarious! Well written! "Soju = Water and your waist size has nothing to do with your amount of food.", these dramas never fail to make want to eat...all.the.time!
