By looking at the no of eps, Is the story developed enough or the characters are being explored for now ? watching…
I have completed 3 eps and so far the story doesnât appear to have taken any unnecessary detours. I feel that all main characters have portrayed their characters well.
The main lead Dong Junâs acting towards the end of ep 3 was amazing. His horror, realizing what he had stepped into, were captured through his facial expressions.
It is a legitimate China based entity. I couldnât find anything illegal about it or how they process user data online. A lot of Wall Street funds have invested in it, so it is a legitimate business.
I am Chinese and I don't want to offend anyone. But I feel very uncomfortable with the cdrama vibe of this drama.…
I didnât know about the costumes and jewelry issue until you brought them up. In my opinion, it is very hard to define cultural appropriation. Cultural items, like religion, cuisine and language travels and can get adopted, and modified to suit local needs and times. For example, South, Central and West Asians can fight over the culinary appropriations of their foods pilaf/ pulav, biryani, naan/noon, samosa/samsa. Or South Asians and Koreans can cry linguistic appropriation and duke it out over the terms Amma and Appa for mom and dad.
This is a drama, where the crown prince of a country moonlights as a Giorgio Armani, pretty sure costumes are their their priority.
They girlbossified the most angsty, tragic Byronic hero in kdramaland. wdym he runs a secret boutique???Hm, you…
The ML was convincing as a dark and troubled character in âWeak Heroâ. For me, the premise of a crown prince playing Giorgio Armani is funny, since when do Kings and crown princes have time off from all the scheming?
20 mins into this drama and Cho Yong Pil is depicted as just another workplace a@$hol⏠who throws tantrums at…
Plot armor will help Yong Pil save the world, when everyone of his colleagues and their supercomputers fail.. So he can yell, scream, kick his legs and throw tantrums, for our enjoyment.
I guess I had watched too many dramas where the characters are either stone faced or throwing tantrums, Enough coolaid for me today.
P.S. Those kinda tantrums and yelling at colleagues might look cool on TV, but wonât look good on our resume.
They should have decreased the age of the female lead. Kim yoo jung don't look like someone who is close to 30.…
Well, we also have thirty year olds playing high schoolers in movies and tv series now. But back in the day, there were some 50 year olds playing as teenagers. đ
You can tell this drama was HEAVILY influenced by a certain group of people at Netflix. they were not Christian…
I watched the two episodes after reading your comments. I donât believe that there was anything to get offended by a work of fiction when its creators havenât explicitly made derogatory comments. We havenât got the whole character of âthe demonâ yet, so letâs wait before we jump to dangerous conclusions. Btw, This series has the same screenwriter as âMr. Queenâ, and seriously I donât think any adherents of Korean Shamanism got offended there.
Before we start stoning Netflix, they only funds projects, they or their employees rarely have creative control over projects.
