It is users who add and vote on tags like “age-gap”, “strong female lead”, or “crazy male lead”, etc. Users with sufficient points can edits pages, vote on tags, etc.

Also, their search function sucks. It rarely brings up the actor/drama I am looking for.

I noticed that the front page is almost always filled with news about Korean actors and dramas. I always guessed, that could be due to

1. Most users come for Kdramas
2. Most moderators are Korean

They wouldn’t let you add Viu, which is a major Asian streaming service. So, coming back to that homophobia argument, MDL lets us to add series of various genres (including LGBTQ) to the site, so I wouldn’t just jump to that conclusion with just one data point.

P.S. MDL calls themselves “a platform for Asian drama and movies”, yet doesn’t allow us to add Cambodian, Vietnamese, Burmese, Indian, Sri Lankan, or Pakistani dramas. So, should one consider them racist? 🤔

I am not an actor, but How does one tone down acting? Do they just finish the scene quickly without many takes or do they not emotionally prepare for a heavy scene? Can any acting majors advise?

Nice suggestion. I was thinking something like Do BongSon (Strong Woman) or Hae In (Queen of Tears) entering either an elderly woman or a younger woman.

The actor is actually doing a good job. I hated his character, hopefully he’ll realize the consequences of his actions and turns around.
