At that point in the story, he doesn’t love her anymore, he feels strangulated by her and her family. He is scared of divorcing her, for she like her aunt might come at him with a vengeance.

It gets interesting. A lot of schemers are hovering like vultures around the main couple and their family.

I love how the FL’s character was written and portrayed in this drama. She comes off as arrogant but kind, independent woman but needs love and assurance, scared but strong. In my opinion , this is one of the best Kdrama female lead characters ever written.

They are both flawed, but not irredeemably flawed. Everyone in FL’s family have their own flaws and unbelievably dumb enough to get caught in the machinations of outsiders, be it human tinder lady or the random investor walking in. I can only understand that the grandpa could fall into his side chick’s trap, but rest all being that dumb?

Mingliu, ratings are completely subjective, unless a whole lot of people really hate/love an actor/actress and jump in to skew the ratings. Just because I might enjoy a drama doesn’t mean, you have to enjoy it the same amount. I find most dramas with an MDL rating of 8 and above enjoyable., for VIKI ratings, I would go for 9.5 and above.

Everyone feels victimized, it makes us feel better.

Let me guess, using phrases like “this is where it gets interesting “, “ here comes the twist”, etc.

Usually dramas with and MDL rating over 8 are good. Ratings usually go down over time as more people weigh in and not just hard core fans. The overall premise of this drama is interesting, but there are too many holes character development issues as pointed in the comments section.

Technically, people who just use other people without any bit of emotional attachment are not friends to begin with.

I agree that the writers didn’t do a good job. I am still having a hard time believing how quickly both the main male leads came to trust each other.

My professor owns a Mercedes. When my fellow student brought his kid to my lab, the kid’s face lighted up when he saw the car and actually asked my professor for a ride and he got it. It is totally normal for kids to like cars.

They should watch some Thai dramas. It’s not just product placement, but main characters actually talk about benefits of products while showing them.
