Other times I had this feeling when Dong Shik and Joo Won was on patrol by Jin Mook's supermarket, watching in their car, and they saw him coming out of his house, picking up the newsletter about the news on his daughter, and hid himself in his palms so he seems like he is depressed, but I saw him smirking for a moment... I got a feeling he was very excited for playing the game, or something... That's instances I felt he may be the culprit!

I was actually coming up with my conclusion all night long hehe... and I kinda now believe he never killed Yu- Yeon, the first girl who came to him and bad mouthed his wife who had left him, and kept calling her a bitch... that was Bang Ju Seon.... and when he was saying "Noisy bitch" in the interrogation room, he was definitely refering to her... and he even said " I got upset, that's what happened" He probably killed her to satisfy his anguish!
And then Dong Shik's sister came there after hearing a sound and witnessing him abducting Bang Ju Seon... he got nervous right away and told her to not do that... not pointing her fingers at him... he caught her and cut her nails... probably. that's all!
But from there on, it was only his imagination that he killed Yu Yeon. in reality he probably just let her go that night and that's where the 2nd murderer appears and cuts her fingers (probably killing her too. I hope that's not the case) and Kang Jin Mook thought it was his doing since it was a traumatic event there! and from there on he really wanted to FIND and KILL her wife... there met other women who were mostly in middle age (close to her wife) and abducted them, killed them thinking it was his wife... HIS IMAGINATION, again.... He used to tell them "So the rumors are true, a prostitue you are, aren't you" That's what he said to "Jae Yi's mom as welll as The woman who sent the text message to Joo Won" so it's probably true that it was his imagination that lead to the killings!
The last victim being his daughter, same thing happened again, his hate for his wife, made him strangle her and couldn't let her get away again!
The finger cut only happened twice and both time it was girls who had colored it shiny "Red and bright" and that probably instigated his urge to cut! AM I missing a lot with this? Fill me in with what you think of?

But again, in episode 8, we got to see him, younger kang min jook abducting two women in his car and then next scene one of them opened her eyes to see the other one was lying there without movement (probably dead?) so he did kill more than one person! even if it was not cutting fingers

He didn't give up, since it was impossible to bring that lady. They rather just searched places that might contain the buried bodies based on what they knew and learnt about Jin Mook's habits... "He buried her daughter in the backyard of his house, and they found Jae Yi's mom in the backyard of her place too"

Btw just looked into your list and it seems you still haven't watched "Alone in Love" which is an amazinggg drama from Son Ye Jin, tho it's quite an older drama with not so great cinematography or music, but she is so young there and her acting is still top notch! the ML's acting is also great!
