What I like about him is that he will be effective in any type of roles whether it is a mainstream lead hearthtrob role or an indie role. He can just switch from subtle acting to intense acting at any given moment. To me he and shota sometani are the best young actors right now.
Both confession from the first episode might be two of the funniest confession I've ever seen. Happy for tanaka kei, he's been a character actor for quite sometime so happy to see him in a lead role. He nailed this role, his expression was hilarious and you would feel bad for him like what has he done to be this unlucky. His life sucks lol.
I dropped this drama 2 years ago, not because I got bored but because the subs stop that time. Now that I finished the drama I can say that satomi and suda got chemistry between them. Hope to see them again in a drama or a movie in the future. Kudos to the subber, I can tell that subbing drama must be pain in the ass like the job proofreader.
I wonder when will yamada takayuki age, he looks young here. I say it before and I say it again suda and yamada could pass as brothers they kinda look the same. I do love their chemistry here. They are both insanely talented actors.

It's surprisingly a good film. I thought I would be bored cause its a biopic but I was wrong the pacing is great and the moral story was really depicted well. What an interesting band I loled so hard when they show where they do their recording. Acting is solid but that's to be expected but what im surprised is the chemistry between suda at matsutaka tori.
It's been like what 5 years but I'm sure it's worth the wait cuz the director always impress me. That cast on the female side though is like the 3 generation of japan's great actresses.
I know quite a few people who have very high opinion of her ability, however I have seen in only one or two projects…
Because she's a great actress, talent wise she's the best in her age group. You should check her other movies that demands some skill from an actress unlike this one which is why I made a comment that sh'es too good for this drama.
Atleast they got chemistry and the acting is great and that's what important. The pacing is a bit slow though and not enough scenes between the leads to make them falling in love with each other believable especially the teacher. I was expecting atleast a back story from the teacher becuase his character felt incomplete. Lastly, I felt that they were trying to convey "what it takes to become an adult" but they failed in this aspect which could have been great if done right.
