Omg when I knew about this pairing I REALLY wanted them to be in a magazine shoot together! They have such amazing visuals, I know a photoshoot would boost their CP so much, Dilraba is really good at promoting CPs. People are more than capable of watching multiple things, and many are on break right now for CNY. Not sure how people can prove the summer Olympics affected YAMG views, because in this day and age of streaming, you can watch shows whenever and wherever (plus YAMG was online only to begin with). Keep in mind this is a shared opinion by Alices in China and also someone who knows how C-ent really works, so if they arent worried, then why should we be worried?
In China high views doesnt automatically mean the drama is a hit too because Dilraba and Allen are liuliangs. Two huge fandoms that will guarantee online traffic, constant engagement with whatever contents, etc so theres already online buzz there. It will boil down to whether people actually enjoy the drama and will choose for themselves if they want to continue on watching. Anyways if they do air after the games, then I guess win win for everyone but I'm just sharing info so that people can read here a second opinion on why the games wont affect the drama.

It may not be competition, I mean its normal but a lot of alices are saying its due to both dramas having "mermaids" and just letting each shine on their own. Also I've talked to many alices who are based in China and they have said the games wouldn't affect the drama in any way. Yes the games are important but people are still able to watch and support both, also like you said it could be due to working on the CGI more, so theres plenty of reasons.

MTC ends on the 26th for normal users and the games ends on the 20th so either way it avoids both.
