you need to watch the good ones. thailand hasn't put much effort in media ent industry . so there are a lot lame ones. but there are endless good ones too. their movies are much much better than their series. and go for the gmmtv and other web series.
also there's and entire genre of soap operas in thai series. ofc some are annoying but addictive too, like mexican soaps

ji chang wook. or the emperor toghon temur. its actually based of a real thing that happened. the last king of the mongol yuan dynasty had his main wife/consort or the empress a korean(goryeo) woman. which caused a lot of trouble because the bloodline had to be pure mongol. . she does not end up with wang yoo, but with temur. wang yoo did exist in real life too , wang jeong actually. and did have an important role during the time. but had no romantic connection with the empress as far as i know.
