and yes had it not been the fans accepting and encouraging whatever is getting thrown at them gmmtv would not have had come this far. and somehow i know deep inside even tho i can't prove it that they're targeting the new debuting generations of BL fans and not us the older ones. bc only them would actually eat this up. these shows are light, easy effort plots, easy shooting progress, nothing too proffesional or hard and it feeds the fans' delusions. they know they can profit more from the younger ones ;)
i know my 16 y.o me would have loved and obsessed over this. But after very long years of watching all diffrent kinds of BLs from all the companies in this industy i would say this is very lame...
hate me and tell me to shut it, but i can't be the only one who thinks gmmtv is getting way too confident and throwing at fans whatever they come up with right ? with each coming year the number of BLs that i can digest from them is only decreasing more and more. like god their golden old ones had the best plots of the whole industry, but the more they got famous the more they got greedy and lazy. i love pond and phuwin but what is this ? it's like a wattpad fanfic written by a highschooler after school ... sorry...

Honestly, it’s completely understandable. I’ve said it before: only people who are really familiar with Thai humor — and I mean years of consuming Thai content — are likely to enjoy this. Newer bl fans or the younger crowd who mostly stick to gmmtv probably won’t find it appealing.
What makes me sad, though, is that the show deserves so much better. It’s being boycotted in thailand for the most absurd reasons, and only a handful of international viewers actually appreciate it :(((
thais are boycotting it bc they believe that ping is being brown washed, i don't know where this rumor started but they're stating that ping has had his skin sprayed in order to look "darker" and be more "fitting" for the role since kosol in the webtoon has a dark skin. thais are saying that it should never be accepted for entertainment purposes since thais with darker skin suffer alot and have a hard time.
i'm not thai and i know i should not stick my nose in their matters bc they know best. but honestly i've seen ping in both seasons of pit babe and that's literally his skin color. even if u look at his yt videos (which is old, from few years ago) he literally has always had a darker skintone.

I started this show with very little expectations. The first time i heard of the show was when they first dropped the pilot. My reaction was "meeh ! why joongdunk of all ships???". But now I literally DIE FOR THEM. My impression of joongdunk has been so bad before, but now it shocked me to the core how much they improved !!! with each ep joong is proving to us, that HE'S the man of the show OMG !!! THEY ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS !!!
right now i'm on ep 2. I'm not getting what's with the whole hate thing. It's right that Joke tricked Jack but he immediatly confessed his wrongdoing and was the one got sent to prison not Jack. you spoke my mind 100% couldn't have said it better. I remember myself 8 years ago when I first got into BL and how I was impressed with almost everything. I was young then, just beginning to explore this board genre. But the more I watched and read manga/comics, the more critical I became, and I wasn't easily impressed anymore. It's definitely the younger generation who seems content and satisfied with gmmtv’s quality. I can't imagine someone older cheering for this. gmmtv is quite aware of this, especially since all their shows are released on yt. They know very well that the majority of their audience is the younger generation. They know they would LOVE the cutesy stuff, and would not enjoy something complex and dark.
