Well, I'll miss Suda Masaki's Beavis&Butthead;-like laughter and Junpei slapping himself!
Junpei slapping himself - i hate that!!! that's one of the many reasons why I dropped it. :((

I remember there's this "Oh, My Dad!" airing drama, too, I've read somewhere that it's about a dad raising his son, kind of that. I haven't watched it yet though. Just thought I mentioned it to you since you mentioned 'Woman'. :D

RomCom? I can recommend Hana Kimi (Japanese Version), Nodame Cantabile, though they're more like comedy + other aspects of life, and not focus on romance though.
Hope you did well on your test. Too much drama can hurt your grades! Lol

I see. So that isn't a drama, it's a movie. My bad. :D
Yeah, I've heard of it. Oguri Shun playing the deceased husband on that drama. What a role. Lol. But yeah, hope it turns out to be a great drama. Now that you mentioned 'Woman', I'm actually downloading 'Mother' drama now and hope to watch it this weekend. Hope it will great like Tonbi.
Keep me posted for Ice World. Thanks!

Yeah, I guess in most cases that's what happen (people preferring on what they get acquainted first). :)
Wow, 1976! Now that you mentioned it, I just browsed my list, and my oldest drama is just 1996. Anyway, I'm on episode 8 of Tonbi now, my favourite is that episode about Sead Leaf. I'm looking forward on the last 2 episodes!

Yeah, I think you hit the perfect word there to describe jdramas/jmovies, "meaningful". You know, like no matter how funny and all over the place a drama is (Hana Kimi, Nodame, etc), there's still that thing that makes sense and the life lessons. I think of them as like more philosophical and they always like to dwell on life topics like career, dreams, hope, chances, life itself, etc,.
I haven't seen Ice World yet. Well, I would like to wait for your feedback on Ice World. I wouldn't mind watching old dramas though as I have already watched a few I think, but all of them are Kimura Takuya's.

I really started watching dramas because of detective genres (hands down on Japan on this), but lately, I've been trying all genres, so can't say anything in particular. :)
What did I just watched. And Hasumi's whistling is still on my head. To be continued??!! Um, count me out.... Don't get me wrong, this isn't a poor movie, in fact, it's very well executed from start to finish. The story is just not my cup of tea.
But the acting is really superb! Hands down to Ito Hideaki and the other casts! Not to mention Ito Hideaki's great English on this movie.
Somehow, reminds me of Yoshitaka Yuriko. I wonder why...

The first episode for me is epic, it's just pure awesomeness with superb acting. I cried a lot on the first episode so much that I put it on hold for a while cause I don't want to cry whole day long, right? Lol . Then after the 2nd ep, Takeru appearances were short again that it started to bother me, lol, I thought he'll just make appearances here and there but good to know (thanks to you!) that it's not the case. Whew!
Yup it's Hei. :)
I'll get in touch with once I'm done watching it! :)

Hi winnie! I saw that Tonbi is one on your top list. I'm currently on the third episode now, I super love the first episode and that alone can be made into an awesome movie. I'm just wondering if it always dwells on telling story from Akira's past, or would it eventually pick up to present? I want to see more of Takeru. lol. Thanks! :) Yoroshiku!
One word after watching this: disappointed. I thought it would be a superb movie given the cast. Boy was I wrong. :((
