i don't justify his actions either. the way he behaved is unnacceptable if you ask me,even if he was weak and couldn't help himself at least he should have the heart to protect the ones he cares about. i just state the facts you'd be suprised to know that actually there are many people like him,its sad this is not some kind of fiction this is the reality.

It's a work of art. Unfortunately we don't get to see Japan's beauty at it's best like we're used to with all it's bright colors and places, its still beautiful with its simplicity.

It focuses not only on love concerns but it goes beyond that,I'd say it raises concerns about life.The old man is very interesting character but unfortunately left unexplored.

this is a remake of "contratiempo" and i'm afraid it can't beat the original but it is a worthy watch to stand on its own if you haven't watched the original. koreans are certain to thrill audiences with their suspenseful plot twists and endings.

Same director previously worked with Lee Je Hoon and Park Jung Min in "Bleak Night" .Plot is simple and action is okay not all it-blowed-up-real-good action movie but actors had great chemistry. I love the cinematography of the movie the dystopian aesthetic,the shades of colors and the abandoned places,even though left unexplored.

mc was introverted and weak and found the chat his "safe place and sanctuary" because he couldn't stand up for himself in reality. this film is more relevant than ever. nowadays people like yuichi live exactly in two worlds that exist simultaneously,inside and outside social media. i wanted to see hoshino's change in character as well, it would be interesting though to see more of his perspective.

film deals with the essence of love on philosophical approach. a student who works as a call girl to solve her financial issues meets a sophisticated old man who is lonely and he behaves "like someone in love".
but,is it really love?
what is "love"?
how do you define love? can love be explained?and if so, then what?
the screenwriter leaves it to the viewer to answer the questions towards an ending I was vastly unprepared for.

great filmaker abbas kiarostami captures emotions, situations, people with a sense of immediancy,a commonality of feeling that is shared between the characters of his stories and the audience. his films trigger existential concerns.

true and you know what's worst? people sacrifice their own desires or bury them in a marriage and children in the end pay for their parents choices and sins

true ,poet was detached from his own self his desires his body his life and finally he has awakened

the young boy made this choice for the sake of baby.

surprisingly this happens more often in real life than you know, repressed men trapped in marriages

such films are important to raise awareness and educate society

its visuals are similar to a painting..director didn't want to rely on title cards he wanted to tell a story using images surreal,chaotic that draw you in

Idk why but for some reason I dropped this and never finished it.seriously why?

it's a movie about poetry and yet the poet never shared a poem for the sake of his muse.maybe that final scene between them it was a closure on their relationship. maybe not. but i wish he shared with him a soft and deepest sense of farewell.

reminds me of Thomas Mann "Death in Venice"

loneliness, conflicts due to social and family expectations, marriage obligations and the urge to escape from it all. all of them are conveyed through this poetically crafted movie that depicts a love found in the most unexpected place.

the message is that sometimes sacrifices must be made. children are the ones suffer in the end from parents choices..young boy bravely made the choice for both of them and left so that the old man can raise his child properly with care and love,something the young boy didn't have..

that was very well put,i believe the same. those troubled souls deserved happiness and deep inside they were each other's happiness and safe place. unfortunately life doesn't always go the way we want and this is a realistic portrayal that sacrifices must be made.
