Man when are they gonna stop with the bullshit, unrealistic ways to ship dudes. I mean it's entertaining for me, sure. Those accidental kisses always make me laugh out loud, but it just takes out the realism, sometimes. The most unrealistic trope being those guys who only like one guy but they're straight (arguably, you could say they're demi but ... no). Idk if this story does this too, but I hope not. Them being bi doesn't change anything. This is just an excuse to get a straight guy with another guy. It really doesn't bode well as a message since viewers might get the idea that it's okay to ship the guys they know irl (this show is another offender of that. I mean how WEIRD is it for someone to take pictures of a guy without their permission because they ship them with another guy? That's whack. What's worse is when it just becomes straight up intrusive like in UWMA - which, by the way, had a cool premise, but was poorly executed). This is why Love by Chance and, to a biiiiiig stretch, even TharnType worked well (Tharn was kinda creepy at the start, but at least he had a clear motive). They actually kinda make sense.
How about just trying to go back to basics first and then create wacky set-ups? In fact having something like, say, a neighbours to lovers set up, while simple, gives way for lots of other possible themes to explore, making it much more interesting than just pure fujoshi bait. Going back into my examples earlier, LBC tried to work in acceptance as a theme, and TT tried to go into some very brave topics and views.
Basically, just stop with the weird shit. Even the literal porn doujins I've read had better stories. I feel better now that I've gotten this out, but I just sound like I'm old or something, yet I'm part of the target audience. Of course it's only been 2 episodes so I can't really say anything for certain until it's over.
Edit: Episode 2 - Talking about a fictional ship between real guys over a facebook stream. Oh that's at least 5 yikes from me. Still REALLY WEIRD, fellas.
