I'm basing it off of the announcement that LDW was offered the role in '22 and accepted in '23. I'm assuming he didn't say yes without first having a script to read. Or even was approached without a script. Maybe he did say yes without one tho lol

Well, it was just filmed recently, but was written several years ago- so that's probably why you're getting that vibe.
