This film is fantastic. I just saw it yesterday evening at the Filmfest in Munich Germany. Japanese with English subtitles. Full house. Really really good. If you can catch it at a cinema near you in the next weeks and months, go!
Really loved this additional episode. Very comforting. But... why is it so difficult to at least hug each other or give a small kiss at the end? You're a couple! Damn! Still, it was a wonderful show.
Really liked this, just finished it. Great cinematography and actors. Personally I would tighten the story a bit to around 8 episodes. And although I have usually no big issues with violence on screen, for a crime series it was pretty gruesome in parts. Not sure if it's really needed to show everything in detail. 8 out of 10. Taiwan always delivers.
Love this show. Great actors, the cooking scenes are great, just overall heartwarming. 6 episodes in and the tension between both is heating up. So good that we get another 6 episodes! Already feared there are only 2 left but no :). This is a really good series.
Okay, finished it. Overall it wasn't really good. Crazy storyline (like how they fell in love, "hi do you want to be my bf" - "ok", something like that) and some bad acting, especially Boom was cringey sometimes. Episode 6 was the best one, the scenes in Chiang Mai at the end were really nice.
Is it just me, or does Bigboom who plays Ana look a lot like First (Fiat from Don't say no)? :)
I'm at Ep 3 now and intend to watch it until the end, despite all the comments here. What I find funny so far is the incredible ridiculous blurring of any alcohol they are drinking, what the heck, is this a children's show? omg
Such a heartwarming, beautiful movie. Wonderful actors, perfect chemistry. Great cinematography. I cried, I laughed, I felt with Yamato and Mitsoumi. Perfect! Thank you GagaOOLala for giving me the chance to see this film :)
Episode 5 now. The show started great, but since ep. 4 it gets kind of boring. The two main actors are somehow not the center of the drama anymore. Another new characters this week. And only 3 episodes left. I don't know, I hope the last hour we get gets more intriguing.
Just finished the last episode. I'm really sorry to say this, but for this was one of the worst BLs I've ever seen. Boring storylines (nothing really happened), bad acting (especially Fort / Pa Prai - please, visit an acting school). Apart from a few love scenes this show had nothing to offer. 13 episodes was much too long, the storyline was so short, it could've been 1 episode only. Unnecessary escalation of the story in the last episode, just to make it longer. I'm glad it's over now. 4/10.
Everyone is talking about explicit sex scenes but to me it was just a nice love scene and not explicit at all. Maybe because I'm European ;) It's of course a bit more realistic sex you expect when two make love so it's really nice to look at. More please in the remaining episodes! Ritsu was kind of an a**hole to me by EP2 but we'll see how it goes on. Nice show so far.
I'm at episode 11 of 13 now and quite frustrated with this series. The first episodes were almost completely around Payu and Rain and then suddenly the focus changed to 100% Sky and Prapai. And storewise basically nothing happens at all - after 11 hours I cannot tell you what this is all about. And - I'm really sorry to say that - Fort who plays Prapai is really not very good at acting. It's cringey at times for me. One of the most boring BL shows I've seen in a long time. The love scenes are nice though but they are sparse.
Love Papa & Daddy, although Season 1 was a bit better for me. The new actor is fine and the story went on well. However I think they tried a little bit too hard to put every LGBTQ topic into the eight episodes. Bullying, gay marriage, adoption, coming out at work etc. - if not all so packed into 8 episodes it would have been slightly better. I hope we get a third season!
I haven't seen such a beautiful series in a very long time. I cried so much during almost all of the last half of the last episode like never before. So beautifully made overall, wonderful characters, great actors. Real love. And so emotionally touching. What a gem this series is. My first 10/10 in a very long time, and it will stay in my head for very long. A must-see.
Now I sit in front of my TV in tears after the ending. Thinking about what happened again and again, I still don't get it. What was behind it all to save Ji Hoon if in the end the fate didn't change? I hope the final seconds mean that there's some hope? However, I still really liked it, cinematography, acting, music, all was nearly perfect. And the emotions really kicked in with me.
Okay, so I just finished His Man with the last two episodes. While I really loved watching the show in the beginning, it became more annoying in the end and the last two episodes were disappointing.
- Quite cruel ending for some. Especially Chan-Kyu, who was really sad and heartbroken for the last couple of episodes, being mostly ignored by the rest. I still don't understand why, he was one of the most attractive and nicest guys here. Eun-Chan also, crying in the end. Wow. - Overall the acting of all was quite childish, sometimes like 15 year olds giggling in the corner. Not even a kiss on the cheek or any real talk. Holding hands seems to be the most courageous thing here in the final episode, a bit ridiculous. It's 2022, not 1960. It was more like some friends go on a vacation trip for a week, renting a house for fun together. - The whole concept didn't really work. Not enough interaction between the guys, 30-second calls and activities which they mostly do on their own instead of together just doesn't work to find love. Just switching room setups doesn't work either, everyone was more like angry about it in the beginning. - In the end most of them just looked sad, it was embarrassing to watch ("the number you have dialed is not available") - On top of things, the final episode became a bit useless when I read before that the winning couple just never really dated. What a failure!
I still like to see more of such shows, but please be more courageous and with more real interaction between the guys. The show was very conservative, and we need really participants who WANT to find a partner, not just because of the money they get. I am really sorry for the guys who didn't find anyone in the end, they were the most "real" ones...
