Pretty sad episode 11. I was hoping Shin's memory is coming back and we get a whole last episode of our couple finally loving each other. Instead we even start the last episode far away from this. I fear Shin's finds his memory in the last 5 minutes, we get one kiss, end of series :(
lol Sorry, had to laugh when I saw your comment. To me, "180 Degrees..." is one of the most pretentious and tedious…
Okay, interesting opinion. My impression was the complete opposite. It was something completely different to the standard BLs with fantastic cinematography and actors. I’m honestly speechless about a 1/10 rating which is the bottom of everything - IMO you must have seen a different show.
One of the most boring shows I've seen in a long time. Dropped after finishing episode 2. Nothing happens. Lots of talk. Always the same dark-sepia filter over every image. Didn't care about any of the protagonists. Didn't drop anything for a very long time but I just couldn't watch this to the end.
This series is fantastic so far. Haven't seen such a great atmosphere and cinematography since "180 degrees longitude...". The slow pace is perfect for me, it gives us much more time to develop depth of the characters. I really love it so far. After 3 episodes one of the years highlights for me so far.
Good coming-of-age movie with great actors and an interesting sound design. Fun fact: I thought until I read about two actresses that Saibara is a boy in the film and also an actor not an actress. Can be watched currently for free at the Japanese Online Film Festival: https://jff.jpf.go.jp/watch/ic2023/
So I'm posting an obviously unpopular opinion on this, but I finally finished this series and I didn't like it. Honestly I don't understand the large amount of positive comments. It took me half a year to watch it because it was so boring. Yesterday I finally made it. Apart from the fluffiness and cuteness of especially Thi the show had not much to offer than some funny moments. There was absolutely no real relationship developing. Even in the final episode - nothing. I'm almost missing the bromance tag here, it was like two guys developing a school friendship. The acting of Noey was so overacted, I couldn't take it seriously. It was a back and forth over 12 hours. After an episode ended, we were where we were at the beginning. What I liked was that we saw a lot of different settings than in other BLs, some traditional Thai things, some different locations. But that wasn't enough. I'm glad I managed to finish this but a rewatch will never happen. 6.5/10.
There is absolutely nothing wrong of those two people falling in love and one is 18 and the other is 29. Both…
You're definitely right in terms of life experience, different views, financial situation etc. - the larger the age gap, the bigger those differences will be. But from my pov this is only part of a relationship. There is also a very big part of loving each other deeply, attraction etc. that might outperform the differences. Also, sometimes differences enrich a partnership. But I know that it's definitely easier to align if you're at a similar point in life regarding work, financial situation, mindset. But that doesn't make an age gap in a relationship a no-go for me.

You guys obviously don't know many gay relationships. An age gap of 10 to 20 years is pretty common (like 40 and 20 for example). I know quite a few couples where at least and 10y gap is normal. If you're 18, you're an adult. If you go into a relationship with a 28 year old one, it's your decision and if the love is there on both sides, I don't see why this should be wrong in any aspect, and it's disturbing how you conclude to domestic abuse here. It would be indeed an issue if there is an underage thing portrayed (like 30 and 14 or so) but this is not the case here.
Episode 8 was a bit confusing. It started so sweet but suddenly they were fighting again over nothing, all withing barely 20 minutes of this really short episode. I’m starting to loose interest a bit because there’s no development. Two episodes left but I think this will not be a highlight of the year.
Episode 7 was wonderful. Minato and Shu open up to their relationships, finally. It was a beautiful episode. I'm ignoring the comments below and say to myself that they obviously didn't watch it yet.
why do you think a season 2 will take years? they could also start filming it like tomorrow and release it early…
what has the Thai remake to do with the production of this Chinese series? Completely different production companies. But I agree that the Thai industry will be faster in creating the remake.
Fantastic series, terrible ending in my opinion. This is a bad cliffhanger giving us no clues, season 2 must come very quickly. Didn't they say there is a happy ending earlier? Can't see any of that. Still overall it was one of the best shows I've seen in quite a while despite the toned-down romance, with a few flaws. 9/10.
I'm surprised about the harsh comments here. Episode 6 was finally a welcome change and it had so many beautiful scenes. The talk between Minato and the teacher. The wonderful playful scenes with the watermelon at the beach with Minato, Shin and Asuka. The talk at the end between Minato and Shin. They're opening up. Finally. It dragged a bit during the first episodes of season 2 with no change to Season 1 but now it starts to develop. Can't wait for the next episode!
So Stay With Me will be having an open ending and we're getting season 2?!?!?! 😮😍https://twitter.com/BLUPDATE2022/status/1688178217587531776?t=V5LqOtgXMtndeGYmmlF3pA&s=19
Saw that tweet too. A second season is great but I don’t like open endings. Something like they are desperate and separated and we are desperate too and need to wait at least a year :/
