I decided to watch this after coming across "What's wrong with my mother-in-law?" clips on youtube, so I was disappointed it took so long for Lee Jae Wook to have actual screen-time. I wish they had shown a bit more of his life outside of acting and at least explained why he had a flip phone. It's funny though, how they gave him almost zero backstory besides being an unknown actor that loves his dog and he still managed to be more interesting than the main couple's ML.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact Lee Jae Wook is in it, I wouldn't have finished this show. The main couple was so unrealistic it hurts, and that's saying something when one couple is comprised of a fan and an actor and the other is a married couple that has a relationship so twisted that the husband pays someone to take photos of him with other women so that his wife will have an easier time divorcing him when she finally decides she's had enough of her crazy ass mother-in-law.
There's just no way a dude would be that whipped for a woman he slept with once just because he liked the face she was making when playing arcade games. She pushed him away too many times, I can't believe anyone would put up with that after a one night stand. I wish they had used all that screen-time of Bae Ta Mi explaining why they will break up on anything else. Preferably on LJW, but even if they had used it all on the other Barro's employees, it would've been better.
The fact their reason for breaking up never gets resolved makes all that wasted screen-time feel all the more wasteful.
I'd also like to point out that the relationship between Cha Hyeon and Song Ga Kyung was really suspicious. I couldn't help but notice how shy and smiley they always got around each other, not to mention the first thing Cha Heyon noticed the first time she saw her was how pretty she was.
I figure it was supposed to come off as Cha Hyeon having huge admiration and respect for Ga Kyung, whilst Ga Kyung felt sorry for what happened to Cha Hyeon's dream of becoming an Olympic champion and being afraid of shattering the image Cha Hyeon had of her, but even thinking that way doesn't convince me they didn't have a crush on each other at some point. That scene in episode 3 where Cha Hyeon holds Ga Kyung to prevent that biker from running into her had too much tension for me to believe they were regular friends lol
