i've been following jjy's dramas since 2016 and i have to say i think this is the best performance she's given so far. not groundbreaking or anything, but she's improved. she looks great in this one, although her costumes are...definitely a lot lol. i've had fun so far. looking forward to more!

100%. it's unfortunate that female characters are often either awful people or entirely focused on men (or both lmao). la rima is probably not going to be the nicest later on, so i'm hoping this one keeps up the supportive friendships with the tea party girls.
i guess i came into this with way lower expectations than some of yall bc i thought this was a great first episode. i literally only tuned in bc of jiyeon, yet i was engaged the whole time, even though she got like 90 seconds of screentime this ep. i love the FL so far and i thought jung jiso did a great job. i'm also super excited and happy to see that the girl trainees are supportive and kind. i feel like girl groups always get written as horrible people in dramas, for whatever reason. looking forward to more! (especially jiyeon lol)
honestly the saving grace of this whole drama is princess xinnan/sheng chuling and the sheng family and neither have been anywhere for the past like. 4-5 episodes
watched this two years ago and am now doing a rewatch (mostly for wu jia yi's scenes lol), but i have to say i like it a lot better the second time around. it's probably one of the best-looking fantasy dramas out there, honestly on par with game of thrones. that and the good acting makes it enjoyable for me.
my god that was exhausting lmao...literally had to take a year long break in between watching it. great acting, directing, visuals overall—but holy crap. just an absolute mental and emotional slog. and pretty much every man character in there can go choke on splinters as far as im concerned.

filmed in 2019. she does look really ageless depending on the drama/character, but i think she also seems a lot younger here because she's so good at portraying childish immaturity.
she shines in her second lead roles <33 would love to see her gain more success but at the same time she does so well with the less-than-perfect characters. such great expressions and her line delivery/voice is also so dynamic. im obsessed.

i was the same way lol this drama popped up on my radar mostly bc of yeonwoo and i was hoping to see her have a much bigger role in the story. at this point she barely feels like a supporting character. but you're right, the story is definitely not over and with this one in particular it seems like there's always more to learn about every character.
i actually really look forward to mi rae's scenes bc i like yeonwoo, but from a storytelling pov i have literally no idea what purpose her character serves. she's just kind of...there. wish they'd given her something to do besides pine for no fathomable reason.
