Its a very very simple movie/storyline, nothing complicated about it but that simplicity leads to boredom, lack of sparks, emotions, colors and the movie ended like flat. The story is lacking some spice for it to be a good movie, idk. 6/10 for me
is it really bad? i wanted to start this but now i'm not sure anymore....
most complain on episode1, but once you pass the present time and watch episode2, you will get over it. Actually, most liked episode2, its soo much fun and much better. Just try watching it and assess it but make sure to check.out for more episodes before dropping.
Episode 2 is great actually, so much fun and laughters, its been way too long since I laughed this hard for a drama. I'm looking forward for more, the story twist is different from the usual tie travel dramas.
You guys should continue watching it or atleast watch the 2nd episode to know how fun is the drama.
Time Travel drama/movie recommendations: I will list all of the dramas/movies I can think of with a time travel…
Scarlet Heart Chinese version may not really be that appealing, the first time I watched it, I find it sloww but the drama gets interesting as it goes through, it has a better/solid storyline compare to the Korean version, though I can really see why its a hit internationally.
Time Renegades aint that catchy, but the 2nd half of the movie was better.
Among all the listed this is my rank:
Our Times
Orange
You Are the Apple of My Eye
Suddenly Seventeen
Time Renegades(lol,its last).
I just dont like the casts aside from Lee Jun Ki. MoonCaeWon's acting feels so unnatural (sorry to compare but fresh from watching SecretForest, I am looking for ala BaeDoona acting, natural and not over-the-top. And that annoying ajumma hacker, the guy LeeHan, the press girl, didn't the producers think thoroughly about its casting? Sigh
II applaud this drama. Its the only kdrama I have my eyes on at the moment.
I watched this because of the genre (I love criminal/investigative/ dramas) and also because of Joo Seung-woo which I came I to love because of that drama God's Gift 14 Days. He's quirky and full of energy/actions their while here, he's restrained but in a very good way. I Knew I wont be disappointed with his acting, he fits the titular role perfectly-the Stranger.
While, i love Joo Seung-woo, this drama made me a fan of Bae Doo Na. She carried her role perfectly, I really love her acting, her acting style here, her perfect characterization of Detective Han. It was my first time watching her in any Kdrama and she impresses me. Both her and Hwang Shi-mok had a great chemistry together that I wish there would be a love story between them, but then, I guess that would be too hard to add in this season. But, hell yeah, they treated fans in the end with Prosecutor Hwang's smile :) those drawings are precious to him. Second season please! Hope, it wont take long before these two actors will do another drama.
I will miss everyone. Grrr, Seo Dong Jae never repented, lol. (I'm going to miss this character, dont know but I liked his slyness)
BTW, Stranger and Chicago Typewriter are the only drama's this year so far that I scored highly 9.5. These are the only dramas which I thoroughly enjoyed.
And Intelligent drama, perfect ending, perfect casting. Kudos to the writer and the casting team for choosing veteran actors. Its such a refreshing drama seeing real actors rather than Idol-actors.
I just ant to say that Chun-er's performances, her acting really is damn impressive. She has little screen…
duh, Lin Qin has way more less screen time than him but her character still managed to be felt because of great acting and characterization. Only great actors can put so much depth in their characters/roles despite less screentime. Btw, even YanXun's characters screentime decreased so much since they moved to Yanbei so taht should never be an excuse.
I just ant to say that Chun-er's performances, her acting really is damn impressive. She has little screen…
You are the one who does not have an idea about GREAT ACTING. Seriously, if you think that Lin Geng Xin's acting is impressive because of those goddamn eye acting, then there's no point of arguing with you. Don't be clouded just because you like his character in the drama. There are soo many actors in his age who can act sooo much better than him. In fact so to say, LGX failed to own up the character YWY, I can see another actor performing that role aside from him. Shawn Dou as YanXun owns up but character. He played his role perfectly. Lin Qin as well with his many emotions character and with Zhao Liying as that badass femme fatale.
I have watched a lot of dramas that actors owned up their characters so much that you can never see any other actor portraying their characters, but not for LGX-YWY's case.
I just ant to say that Chun-er's performances, her acting really is damn impressive. She has little screen time compare to the most of the main characters but hers is the most emotional and difficult to portray, hers is always unforgettable--from when she begs her father to not let her marry Prince of Lang to when she begs her parents in front of everyone to stop his wedding with YanXun, to his begging scene with YanXun stopping the rebellion, getting rid of her head piece, the prison scene with her mother and the latest one where she tried poisoning her father to her confrontation of her elder bother, she is really impressive. Ic an only say that her acting might topple Zhao LiYing here though Zhanilla is doing great also.
I oftentimes don't side with the antagonists of any drama but in here, I can really feel them because of their great acting. And that's why I also feel for YanXun. Shawn Dou's acting and her characterization and development from episode 1 until now is very evident. You can really tell that he is soo different now, not only because of his rasta-hair-lke and evil make-up but also because of his acting, his facial expressions will tell you so much.
However, Ia m soo disappointed with YuWenYue. The actors acting and his character development is poor, He keeps saying that he is not the same 3 years ago, but what has changed? His acting is very the same. I understand he is acting that "cold" type person but you can do so much with that acting. YanXun's gone cold, but you can see the fierceness in his acting, but with YWY, he is as if acting just that cool, cold guy, lesser facial expressions with the same body language all throughout-straight face all the time, when he is worried, surprise, face with troubles, all the same, nah! I often compare him with Mark Chao's acting in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, same character, "cold master" but Mark wins landslide for his acting.
YWY's character is sooo boring, what the hell did the writer and director is thinking? He is the main lead but is he doing? he is just all about being the knight in shining armor if AChu is in danger aside from all the sidelines and unnecessary things he does. Chun-er's story is soo much more interesting and has more depth than him.
This drama has become a BIDAM 2.0 (Queen SeonDeok). The supposed 2nd male lead has stolen so much spotlight from the 1st male lead that in every aspect, from screen presence to acting.
How many episodes does this drama have? Im confused, here it says 58, but the site which I am downloading to says…
The subs in youtube are soft subs, not hard subs. I don't have the tool to download the srt subtitle of the video that's why I prefer downloading on dramasites, they're all hard-subbed.
How many episodes does this drama have? Im confused, here it says 58, but the site which I am downloading to says…
I'm downloading at FastDrama. There subs are so so much better than any sites, with the yellow subs, smaller fonts that often times me headache since those yellow subs fades in the background. FastDrama has that bold, clear, white and dark font which makes my viewing more comfortable.
How many episodes does this drama have? Im confused, here it says 58, but the site which I am downloading to says 68.
Also, at the moment, how many episodes already have been released? Cause at other sites like Kissasian and Dramacools, they have until ep49 but at FastDrama they have posted until Ep56.
I feel that this drama is way too overrated. To have just .1 rating lower than epic masterpiece like Nirvana in…
Nirvana is boring though. I was at episode 20 and dropped it. Hu Ge's character is really boring. Ten Miles of Peach Blossom is >>>>> than that drama.
I might pick up Nirvana again later to see how it ends since I am curious why did it get a really high rating here in mydramalist, oh well even the super cheesy overated Weightlifting ranks higher than Six Flying Dragons, what can I expect?
Is the 'Cold Case' really nice? I love investigative drama's and I am soo really craving of watching a Japanese drama since its been long since the last time I have liked any. I am watching Secret Forest atm and I really liked it.
out of your list, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms > Secrets > Love O2O > Its Okay It's Love.
My Lovely Kim Sam Soon is a given.
What a beautiful article... love it! <3 Nice choice of dramas. I watched half of the dramas you posted and…
Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms is such a great drama, you should check it out, there is a reason why it has received so many praises from critical asian drama followers. Its kinda long but every episode runs 30-45 minutes only. Its full packed adventures that you'll be wanting to watch more and more of it.
You guys should continue watching it or atleast watch the 2nd episode to know how fun is the drama.
