There is 'Sha Bai Tian' (傻白甜) and there is just 'Sha' (傻). The FL character setup is just no no. My first disappointment from Iqiyi Sweet On drama line up.

Nope. Not just you. I couldn't finish watching the 2 free episodes. I know I shouldn't expect much but gosh...

Wan Peng is solid. She is natural in front of the camera. This is Lin YanJun's first acting gig and he is quite ok. Although I still wonder how his Taiwan accent is not dubbed.

I have watched till episode 10 and what keeps me coming back for more is Zhou Si Yue. I just discovered another cutie Chen ZheYuan. Although Xu Meng Jie is not too bad either in portraying her character. This is fluffy cute first love drama that's fun and easy to watch.

The only thing that annoys me is how the FL keeps moving seat and not talking when she has a problem making her friends and the ML confused. I'm like, Xiao Jie just tell them straight why u making this into a big deal?

I cannot!!! Lu Shi Yi stroking Xiao Ju head and squeezing her cheeks all the time so cute! My heart cannot handle the fluffiness.

I think in the beginning we all will prefer Chen Lang and that's how the drama wants it to be. We all see Chen Lang as this gentle and sweet character. Lu Shi Yi on the other hand, is not your typical male lead. He is loud, has a sharp tongue and doesn't treat Xiao Ju gently. But as we progress now on episode 8, we can see that Lu Shi Yi is a very caring person and loyal to his friends.

I was a little hesitant about Wang Rui Chang as I have never seen his drama before but he really brought Lu Shi Yi to life. The bickering between him and Xiao Ju is funny too. Hopefully this drama will progress well. Happy ending please!!

If by happy ending you mean Lu Shi Yi & Xia Xiao Ju ending up together, then no. But the drama so far has made quite a lot of changes and differs from the novel so I am quite hopeful. I too hope for a happy ending for both leads.

Just saw this is going to air on 2nd August!!!

I binge watched the whole thing yesterday and I sort of felt everything was rushed in the last few episodes. Gosh the adults in this drama infuriates me. Anyway, this is quite a pleasant drama, not perfect but nice to watch. Deng En Xi is adorable, Zhang Ling He is handsome and I really like the 2nd pairing too.

Have to also give Ren Shi Hao my compliment. His acting here improved by loads compared to his 1st drama Sweet First Love. He used to have dead eyes but here he showed tremendous improvement.

I have watched till ep 10 and yes, not really feeling this drama. I have had high hopes for Li Qin but here she just doesn't nail it.

Just watched the first episode and i'm liking it so far. The ML's condition is really interesting and hopefully this series won't be just another cringe high school first love drama.
Zhang Ling He is love. I have never watched his acting but I like it so far. Both of the leads are great so far.

Okay I have watched all 10 episodes. This is a lot better than expected. The pacing of the drama so far so good. Hopefully it can last till last episodes .So far its fun and apart from the main couple, the second couple is so cute. So far it seems that they used the main actors' real voice, no horrible dubbing.

Bai Jing Ting has always been Xiao Bai in my head. The cute little brother next door image is what I have from watching him in Who's The Murderer and his dramas so far. But this? Although I need some time getting used to him acting as a tough, strict, cool, manly police, gosh he has grown up. Need more Bai Jing Ting!

If you are not into harem drama, don’t watch this drama.
To those who have high expectation of this drama, don’t.

I was excited of this drama because 1. the novel is quite good 2. Wallace and Tan Song Yun are headlining this drama.
Wallace although not liu liang level famous now, but he used to be a super popular actor/singer. He still has a stable followers. Tan Song Yun’s past few dramas are successful and I quite like her too. So I expect more. Then I watched and the production is not the great but whatever, it is a web drama.
But what bother me the most is the supporting actors’ acting. It’s meh. Concubine Qiao acting of 'I am jealous, I am evil, I hate FL with all my being’ while opening her eyes as wide as she can and panting with supposedly rage while delivering her lines are so so bad. Gosh I have never known He Hong Shan before but yeah not a big fan of her acting. Wallace is getting too old for roles like this I think. There is no 苏感 (don't know how to explain this in english). For SongYun, this was a good experience for her because so far, she has been acting as a cute/bubbly/clumsy character. Although I haven't felt that she nailed Shi Yi Niang perfectly, it was a good try.

Sigh....
So I think I will wait for the rest of the episodes and probably will fast forward to watch.

Baffled at how people are saying they are turned off because the male lead has many women. Like, it's a historical Chinese drama. What do u expect, hello?

For a Hou Ye (the title that he holds) having a wife and 10-20 concubines is common. The female lead is shu (concubine born) daughter. At that time, it was impossible for a shu daughter to marry as a main wife for a man with title. The whole story should be about how this female lead handle all the hou yuan (back of house) drama. A shu daughter did not receive same education, allowances, clothings, jewelries compared to a di (legitimate, born from the main wife) daughter. They did not have the same connection and resources compared to a di born daughter. That is what this story is supposed to tell. How ShiYi Niang manages her hou yuan with all the women politics, how she handles her husband who used to be her sister's husband? How the romance and trust will develop etc. etc.

If you want 1 main lead and 1 female lead, no harem drama whatsoever, do not watch Gu Zhuang (historical) drama. Go watch Xian Xia or Wu Xia genre.

I am halfway through episode 1 but can someone tell me Zhou Zi Su this character supposed to be wooden? I was intrigue after seeing news on the drama's douban rating. But so far the main lead seems so stiff. Like he just stares blankly, no emotion and says all his memorized line.

OMG just saw the promo video for Valentine's day. I am so ready for this series!!! I am excited to see Tan Song Yun to take on something different, not her usual bubbly cute character. Yes!!!!

Super low budget, new actors, not so great acting, horrible dubbing and the list goes on and on and on....
Never heard of them making the movie version before so imagine how surprised I was seeing this movie and thought that just the title is the same from Yang Zi & Xiao Zhan's drama. But it's from the same novel.

It is what everyone else is saying. This is bad. Horrible editing and everything is so choppy and abrupt.
