Considering how well they started the series, I still believe the staff could have handled Pat's insecurity and the uncertainty of a romantic relationship between a Boss and a Employee so much better. Unfortunately, and it hurts me to say this because there was so much potential in this series, they failed to do so. Behaviour of each character would have made more sense had they directed it better. I just don't understand when they took so much time in developing the relationship, couldn't they have done the same for maintaining it? They knew how many episodes they were gonna get, yet. It makes me so sad that the rating is falling. There was a time when I considered 7.9 as wrong, because the series seemed so promising. Now, I am just sad.
Regardless, I will finish last two episodes next week only. I cannot bear to watch them hurt again when they have spent almost all the episodes just separate. It would be better to watch it next week. Just give me kisses, and tons of it. I will then skip 11th episode all together on my next watch 🥲

Understandable tbh. Gotta learn it from you because I have dropped shows after several episodes because the characters just won't stop acting annoying lmao the time skips definitely annoy me, and so do some of the other stuff. But this show is still worth watching.
It's not an official translation, so there are gonna be some differences. Plus, the ao3 one focuses on JengPat relationship more, so you will miss on many other stuff. But it's still a good work, honestly. The closest one can get to the original unless one knows Thai. The novel is amazingly huge. Thanks to the author (s).
If you're looking for a BL, I recommend:I Told Sunset About You (Thailand)This series has great acting and beautiful…
Thank you so much! I will definitely check them out. I have never actually watched gl, but I have heard enough about The Handmaiden. Definitely on my watch list.
Oh, I was just talking about either the thai one, or the one up on ao3 (it's not comparable to the original, but it is what is - thanks to its author ❤️). Because even ao3 one has sort of... development and exploration of Pat's character, and it's beautiful. You can read that and you can imagine how much better it is in the novel. It's sorta clear why Pat is the way he is. Or why he cries, or reacts so emotionally.

Coming from a cinema student, you gotta understand its impossible to adapt anything to perfection. Details will always be left out. Of course, movies are at more disadvantage than dramas/ series, but you will have to keep in mind the limitations of this show itself. The episodes are limited, the story is vast, innumerable characters and their stories, character development, blah, blah, blah. It will take a good number of months/ years to actually make something like what the novel seems to envision. So, yup, the series will always fall short in comparison to the novel. It cannot ever match up to what the novel has developed through WORDS. You gotta take it as it is. Obviously, I am not defending the "lacks" in the show, there definitely are a lot of them, but unless you want a bigger project with x10 more stuff, then you will have to deal with this one 🤷 Oh and this also means you will have to squint your eyes to see the actual progress in their character development. The show cannot show it all unless they plan to re-release it or something and give us 30s - 40s episodes, or even more.
Can someone suggest me something similar? Like near proper plot development and stuff? Like something good. It could be of any country's. This show is gonna end in two weeks 🥲 gotta find something after that.
I think 15 - 16 episodes would have worked better. I can see the vision, because there are so many people and emotions involved in this series they need to tie everything up, but I feel like they sometimes fall short at execution. Like if there were more episodes, we could have gotten this entire episode with Jeng and Pat being horny as heck lol and with proper conversations. But because there's so much involved and so many stories, they gotta put everything in one episode. It sometimes gets a little messy. BUT BUT BUT my god what a hot episode 😛 I loved every single kiss, I want more . I dont want them to stop ever. Fck others. Jeng and Pat, fck others, but you guys have fun all the time, alright.
