I read this manhwa pretty long ago, so i don't remember what it was about in details, i just remember that i really liked it and it was very adorable and bright story. Watching this drama right now really warms my heart. Good acting, captivating story-telling. I have a feeling that this bl would be my favorite at this moment❤ So exited to watch next episodes!
I watched 1 and 2 eps. And i thought it would be spicy but i only find myself laughing. All those slow-mo scenes making me burst into laughing. And this jumping through the window scene, cgi...I am speechless. Like, bro...This is looks so silly. I'm sorry but it's giving Bollywood memes.😂 So much anticipation...And this is what we've got....😭 I'll keep watching tho, for funsies.
My anticipation crushed... I watched only 1 ep and i am scared to watch the next one...The original (thai) version was way more convincing. It feels like no one decided to ADAPT the story to make it "japanese". Why everything is so awkward?
Silly, light, adorable and everything is not that deep. The mindset that you should go with for watching this is called "shits and giggles". I was REALLY hesitant as soon as i saw 7.0 rating. I expected it to be like real real bad. But to my surprise it was pretty fine👍
Honestly the beginning was not bad. BUT. What this show lacking is GRITTINESS in terms of visuals and story(which 2016 chinese version has). They cut SO many DETAILS from the original. Side characters just became cardboard decorations for the main leads. I guess director was going for more fluffy interpretation of the story. But cos of that it immidiatly lost it's charm. Mb some day this story will be adapted properly but not today.
The execution of "dream" idea is so poorly done. In the middle of the show i felt like it wasn't even matter or scriptwriters just forgot that they working in "supernatural" genre. And this sudden realization that P'Yu likes Ai. Literally out of nowhere. At least i felt like that.
Everything was perfect for me until ep 6. Idk what happened...It was hard to follow the story cos of sudden change in the way of story telling. And cos of the repetitiveness, even though it was kinda ?reasonable?
It is not bad, it's just a little weak. So I watched this until 11th ep and wanna write a comment already. Cus I don't think i would change my mind after the last episode. Or it will change and I am gonna look like a fool. Anyway idc. First of all. Fot...omg! He's grown up so much😭 For the record, I really like Fot&Gem pairing and dynamic between them. Secondly. Can't stop myself from comparing MSP to this series. This story is so light that it is kinda plain, boring and empty. Unseasoned, if u let me say. I remember how i enjoyed MSP story and was looking forward to see them in different roles. But what I saw here...Gem and Fot doing the same thing but it is less engaging. I blame the scriptwriters and the story itself. I wish to see them in more emotionally mature roles. And I am not talking about adding intimate scenes. Cus intimacy can be diffrent and it can be portrayed without getting physically involved. Just like in MSP I felt this but it wasn't in this case. There is some lack of depth in conversations. Maybe I got my expectations too high??? Watched the original version, it was pretty good, but the pacing of it was way faster so it was easier to watch. Also I strongly recomend these companies/labels/ investors or whoever in change to stop this adaptation trend. I'd like to see new original stories, not 're-produced 50 times' stories.
It's been like 2 years and i still can't move on from this piece of absolutely beautiful art. This is just so good on SO many levels. From music choice to color grading, from lightning to Acting. Just...I love it! Evey single shot holds huge atmosphere...I am still in awe... Until today, nobody in the bl industry could create and capture this type of deep feeling that KP portaited to us.
I was kinda invested until ep 10. Idk what happened but the story became extremely ?boring? Just everything became stupid idk. And respectfully, this show is NOT 8.5. I would give it something between 8 and 7.5
So exited to watch next episodes!
