Light and sweet but too sweet. This gets very irratating especially on the 2nd half with all the staring at the moon. I like romance dramas but found myself skipping most of the lovey-dovey scenes, which is not a recommendation for a romance drama for sure. The good thing is that the palace politics can easily be skipped, since anyone who has watched several sageuks already knows what they are all about. There's really nothing very memorable about this. I personally liked Tale of Nokdu and Moon Embracing the Sun much much more. 100 Days My Prince is funnier. Queen for 7 Days has a tortured paranoid king (like this drama here) but there the character is really and truly memorable. Here the king's irrationality is just a surface feature, skipped over rather nonchalantly, like everything else. Park Bo Gum's facial expressions are mostly rather priceless but both the FL and ML come across as mere teenagers - which is okay of course for a large part of the intended audience.

Yes. Lee Shi Eun's relationship with her children is one of the best thing in the series!

Maybe he can't be intimate due to some medical condition?
That would be my guess. LSE already said they are not a real couple in a normal sense, so no intimacy so far.

Some really want SPY to settle with Dogma just because the show is forcing it. I mean she didn’t even try to…
And how Dong Ma treated Nam Ga Bin. Just forced his way back into her life after causing her much pain. And just announced: now we're getting married. Decision lasted like 2 minutes., never minded the wreckage he (DM) left behind.
I just hope SPY comes to her senses and steps on the brakes. Dong Ma 1) wants a baby in 10 months, 2) wants her to quit her job which she enjoys, 3) wants her to live with his parents (who Seo Ban can't respect), 4) wants her to obey his every whim and order. How can SPY say to a 12-year old that it's the child who decides whether she will marry or not? That's way too much for a child to handle. I just hope the writer wont give us a totally messed up ending. Kind of enjoying how despicable and selfish the ex-husbands all turn out to be.

Title A Poem a Day
The cringiness really got heavy around ep. 10. The FL doesn't grow up at all. The radiologists were the most boring and unnecessary story line, not funny as intended, at all. Skipped through the rest until the finish. Only finished this because Jang Dong Yoon's character gets some serious development and JDY is very compelling in his role.

Double second lead syndrome. How I wish Jinyoung was the ML. Kwak Dong Yeon with long hair is so fine. sl syndrome was as bad in Record of Youth though.

I don't think women's position is very much better in many countries of this world right now and in real life…
My key concern is that trigger warnings damage society and freedom of expression as a whole. Trigger warnings are becoming universal in streaming platforms, and the idea of a safe space is dangerously expanded into the world of fiction. It creates a cultural hypersensitivity and paranoia. Because trigger warnings encourage an exaggerated preoccupation with our own feelings and they encourage us to think of ourselves as more weak and fragile than we really are. Trigger warnings create demands for sterilized content. This is pretty clearly observable in MDL. I can easily fathom a future where even dramas like the Red Sleeve must be bought from a black market.

Trigger warnings are ineffective or even harmful. Trigger warnings do not actually serve the purpose for which they are intended. They do help prevent distress. They may even allow PTSD patients to both avoid learning how to deal with triggers and avoid getting help. One of the key symptoms of PTSD is avoidance, which can become the most impairing symptom of all. People can’t be protected from their histories, and making trauma central to one’s identity is just a choice which doesn't have to be made. People should learn to confront their triggers because it's a part of recovery, growing up, and we need the ability to make distinctions between real dangers and fictional dangers.

Epi 9 -10 will be aired this week. Do you guys still think A-Mi will end up with pan sa-hyun just like at season…
Yep, I think they said in an interview that the ending of S2 is how it'll go. A-Mi now seems to be bored with the doctor.

I would say generally for people who haven't been around each other it's a bit odd if they got engaged that easily.…
Seon Ban said to Song Won, when they were negotiating the language lessons, that he'd never been interested in physical contact, but would like to experience fatherhood. Then he also asked her to bring the baby to the lessons.

I don't think women's position is very much better in many countries of this world right now and in real life the abuse and limited rights of women are unfortunate facts. How can people then get triggered by a historical drama? Characters are not fictional here but the setting is history. If people get triggered by and suffer from bad things portrayed in fiction, what then about real life. There's no country in this planet where abuse of women and things like rape and human trafficking do not occur. I mean we do have to be able to control our emotions and reactions to some degree if we are to live in this world. Getting triggered by everything is a poor choice of a lifestyle since it seems to me it's just endless running away from potential sadness and acknowledgement of facts. Sad things are part and parcel of the human experience.

Title Memory
This is a serious drama, worth watching due the poignancy of the topic. It's sympathetic, the law cases are interesting, and there's Junho in a support role (he doesn't get much screen time but what he gets to do he does well). The pacing is too slow in many places and repetition and flashbacks made me skip a whole lot of scenes. Nevertheless, I'm glad I watched Memory, it was definitely not a waste of time.

Sexual compatibility is not guaranteed based on just knowing someone from the work environment. That's what I meant when I said there are hints that Seo Ban is an asexual.
