On A Special Lady Oct 29, 2020
I really didn't understand why this title, "special lady". It means nothing about the style of this movie and neither does the character deserve that name.

My support was for her to die right at the beginning of how unbearable the melodrama was.

This show has so much wrong and stupid stuff in the script. So many times I was disgusted by the lack of internal logic in the characters' actions. The melodrama scenes were also unbearable.

It is revolting how slow these policemen are. In the second season, they incredibly didn’t shoot as soon as they saw the guy with the knife pointing at the victim’s neck. He died. Here, the police lady does nothing when she sees the doctor about to open her friend's belly.

A little comparison. There is a case at the beginning of the series in which the culprit escapes from prison for lack of evidence. At the end, he returns to the screen and the case is "solved".

In Border (2014), there was a similar case in which the culprit also escapes justice for lack of evidence. But it ends with the guy definitely escaping. I think Border's approach is more realistic as it is unlikely that a guilty person will return to the scene to commit another crime after a first chance.

(sorry for the essay)if you're talking about exciting tension, suspenseful reveals, and criminal investigations,…
I watch political dramas and I like them. My problem was precisely the thriller element that made the first season successful. It was the main genre of the series. If this season was under another name, I would find it very good. The point is that inevitably the comparison with the first season will exist. For that reason, the ratings and reviews "should" be well below than it is. Whatever, the seasons are too different to gain such equal perceptions. Just it.

Did you really watch the first season? Or is it too fanbase who accepts anything without criticism?

This season is better than many series of this genre, but it is far inferior to the first season.

Fansub of shit who gave up in the middle of translation.
It seems there is a way to extract subtitles from some restricted sites (avistaz, TTG, GemTV). If anyone can share the srt files with me, I would appreciate it very much.

It is rare that I like sequences but this one is much better than the previous ones. In fact, they didn't even need to use it's name or make references. It's another series, more tough, with a better script.

Takeuchi Yuko saved the show; I do wish Wato got more character development because I found it hard to finish…
R.I.P. Takeuchi Yuko

This remake repeats 3 stories from the original:

- 2010 special, which gives the series its name;
- severed hand investigation;
- 2013 movie, Himekawa's love affair;

I am a heterosexual man and I was disgusted with the way they treat her at work. They always try to diminish her. It's a good example of how to create a serial killer woman because it wouldn't be unfair if she decided to kill many detectives in there. This series is a festival of humiliation for the female gender. Not even the remake "Saga" reached that level.

Although the director is different, I feel that the problem is really in the script. The course taken mischaracterized the series.

Man, that was the best villain I've ever seen in dramas. The perfect criminal. He minced into pieces the target's family

there's no need to lower it as it's more than fair... if S2 first part was as good as S1 then the rating would…
But here, when an user is going to establish a rating for a work, no man will be near to shout in the woman's ear (if the user is a woman).

I didn't understand your second paragraph. Are you saying women's rating is low in quality? I don't agree, and here Maira will be surprised. The issue, as I said above, is the different way in which they both deal with things.
If women have the fortitude and wherewithal to explain it, men have it too. A male review is usually more harsh than a female review and this is reflected in the ratings. In fact the site is mostly frequented by women that will make the averages higher than they would be on a site with a higher proportion of men. This is what I tried to explain and Maira called me a sexist. It's just logical.
