1. I can’t even comprehend how disgusted I am with Jay Jay’s whole family. And maybe because I’m filipino that this hits close to home but I can’t comprehend it. The levels of evil you have to be to:
(a) sell your cousin off to save your own company
(b) without telling her or asking for her own opinions about this
(c ) let her be the only clueless one about the situation until it’s announced in front of everyone else
(d) to then gaslight her by saying you have no choice, you’re doing it for her own happiness, that she has a very good relationship with him anyway, that she can back out if she really doesn’t want to but CRY anyway saying the company is going to fall if she doesn’t get married

2. Yuri. Oh Yuri, you had me torn between you and Keifer up until you showed your true ugly colors, you manipulative asshole. Get out of here with all your BS about
(a) this is me taking control of the situation - for all I know, you’re the one who pushed for this situation
(b) forcing someone you say you love to marrying you while knowing she likes someone else
(c ) stop pretending your nice!!! i can see your thorns from a mile away now. And stop it with all your fake indignation saying shit like you have to take Jay Jay away from Kiefer or he’ll hurt her.

I completely understand this. Which is why it’s such a pity that even when she is already surrounded by other women trying to break the barriers, the society’s mindset has already been so deeply ingrained in her that she cannot escape it. I really thought it was possible for her to learn and become a strong independent woman by being around Mudan and the others— seeing examples of other women who doesn’t let the society’s prejudice stop them from being who they are or pursuing what they want. Unfortunately, it just seems like the more she is surrounded by more women pursuing their own things, the more she runs back towards her past.

I get that she’s a victim of abuse and sometimes victims feel its hard to let go of something so toxic and hurtful HOWEVER, it’s literally been so long and she’s been so much better off without him. She doesn’t even think of the fact that Mudan, who is so stingy with money, literally pawned off everything she has to save her from him.

I loved this drama but tell me why every character’s story got wrapped in a bow EXCEPT for the 2 main couples? 🥲
