Reading the comments below made me want to give it another try!!!!! I need my xianxia fix since my boy Deng Lun…
If you're still unsure perhaps you should wait until it's over and binge watch it 😊 but the story does get better with characters development especially the leads.

Bcs before the jump, she was unhappy, lived a boring lifeless life and learned etiquette every day, not allowed to speak her minds and must stay pure until her marriage. Now she's actually free from it. She can do what she wants, protect the people and go outside.

Some negative viewers criticized the drama after only 3 ep aired, compared it to AoL, voted 1 point and left.…
I don't mind if they watch 3 eps and leave if it doesn't suit their taste bcs that's what I do too. However you must have noticed that they just have to mention other drama and expected Twin Cities to be that drama. I experienced this on NPE too. I wrote about this comparison on my comment way below that it's pointless comparing apple and orange. Just bcs Yuqi is in it they expected to see AoL as if she only acted in one drama. Just like when they see Yang Mi they expected to see TMOPB. Then bcs they don't like it, they compare the characters between A and B. Like, why? Those are different dramas with different characters and different stories. That's why I said it on my first reply to you which you copy pasted. RBY was much better bcs people discussed about the stories and the characters. oh and I don't care about the rating in MDL though. I just don't like when people compare. And p.s you know a troll named jupiter rules? That troll has been bashing every ongoing drama to get attention with the exact same comments 🤦‍♀️ that troll is seriously the funniest. He hates the dramas and the actors but he keeps on showing every day 😂 that means he actually loves watching those dramas.

Personally I don't care about the rating in MDL. What I don't like is when people bashing and comparing this to other drama wishing Twin Cities to be that drama, even mocking the actors without trying to understand the characters. I mentioned it on my comment way below that what's the point comparing apple and orange? I experienced this too on NPE during its airing 🙄 it's tiring, not about the rating.

Oops sorry for that! I thought you knew. Novel readers told me about it. If you look at the cast list, they have another names. The current Bai Ying is a spirit, so she can't be in the direct sunlight. She will die soon and be reborn as Bai Wei and she'll be our next FL. Based on the trailers, there are a lot of scenes of FL fighting during the day so that means that one is Bai Wei.

Bcs as a character, she's an unhappy princess who is forced to be an obedient and pure crown princess. She's not allowed to speak her minds, stay away from gossips and could only live a boring life learning etiquette at the tower until her marriage.

If you think you're struggling you better wait until all eps come out. Don't force yourself. The pace isn't slow, it's too fast and sadly it doesn't explain much for a prologue. The editing is at fault 🙄

Perhaps you already know that Bai Ying won't live long and we will get Bai Wei as the true FL. This Bai Wei is more badass and warrior.

do they really fall in love instantly as the comments say??
No. They spent a lot of time together at the tower, but bcs of the editing it felt rushed and instant bcs the story must go to the next plot which is the real start of the drama. The first 5 eps is just a prologue of their past.

Message to people calling viewers who dislike the drama "haters": this is an open platform meant to discuss opinions…
Some negative viewers criticized the drama after only 3 ep aired, compared it to AoL, voted 1 point and left. So in your opinion what are those guys should be called? Genuinely asking.

Oh btw did you mean the ML which has pinky makeup and the hero who saves the world right? A merfolk was born genderless. Only after they fall in love they will be the opposite gender of the person they love. That's why the seal on his forehead gone at ep 5.

Maybe 😅 I always feel so bad seeing a hopeless princess like her which lives only to be puppet. Just when she opens her mouth, her dad and that old priest are ready to shut her 🙄 but it will make it more interesting once she reborn.

I know, but I understand her situation. Born as a royal blood means she can't have her way. Her future is already decided. That was what she and her friend and her sister been talking few times. They aren't destined to be happy, they live to fulfill their parents expectations and to maintain peace or political issue. The only freedom she got was the 3 years when she learned martial arts. Not every princess in all dramas can be rebellious. Even in The Long Ballad we got the rebel princess and the obedient princess who is scared of everything.

Finally some wise and positive viewers can be seen in this thread. I guess the negative viewers have left the chat after watching 3 eps and voted 1 point 😅 ouch at the low rating, but it's better they left early.
