If you like historical drama, I recommend: Singing All Along (by Ruby Lin, the girl is really smart and she helps her husband to glory), Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (by Yang Mi, it's very romantic), Love and Destiny (by Nini, the same setting with ten miles, but different characters), Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Saber 2019 (not really a romance drama, but it's a complete package with dozens of beauties), The Love Lasts Two Minds (I hate the male lead, but it's worth watching bcs the girls cast hard carried this drama and it's only 36 eps), The Romance of Tiger and Rose (I don't watch it, but it's a lighthearted romance), The Long Ballad (by Dilraba, a heroine centered drama with non toxic male lead), My Fair Princess/Princess Huan Zhu (watch the 1998 and 1999 ver. It's old but a must watch). I don't watch that many dramas so I can only give a few examples. You can try look for them first before deciding which one to watch 🤗

Well... bcs it's Zhao Liying's drama, my fav actress. This drama was a billion hit too. It was painful and tear jerking 😭 which is why I was shocked NPE has similar plot. Hopefully it doesn't have the same ending.

Yang Mi never fails, never disappoint 👍🏻 I've been waiting for her to pass the teen stage and became a dependable warrior to a woman. I don't like her in teen stage bcs she was ignorant and selfish 😑 thankfully it was only for a while.

It's from a novel. Also about teacher-student relationship. The man despises love between teacher-student, even forbid the girl to confess her love. He tortured her both physically and emotionally, but she kept trying to save the man from dying 😭 in the end he killed her bcs he didn't trust her, and she cursed him to become God. By then he finally admitted he loves her and regretted losing her🤦‍♀️

Perhaps bcs they started the relationship with the emperor hated her since the first meeting. Then he kept abusing her, although sometimes he cared for her but not in a romantic way. Now he knew he made mistakes and trying to redeem it, but the constant torture until her body got damaged can't be forgotten by us. Although he's treating her nicely in a romantic way, Tilan is being careful bcs he is still the emperor, and their relationship now isn't love, but "fixing mistakes" and "open my heart for a new person". Perhaps this is why you think it feels unnatural.

While people are busy discussing about Haishi, here I am thinking about what happened to Tilan's side. Based on ep 35-36, why do I feel that one of her maids, most likely Bihong is being taken away? Is she a spy or something? Tilan and Bizi are crying, with Mu Deqing there watching.

Also bcs Jianming doesn't have the intention to say anything, the emperor must explain not only to Haishi, but to Tilan too why he has to take Haishi as his consort. Haishi tried to kill herself bcs these two men secretly plotting behind her. These men totally controlling the girls 🙄

Yes it's a kdrama called Queen Love and War. Was it common in joseon era that twins was considered a bad omen? In this drama the heroine caused trouble to a bad guy, so her big sister hid her in a box, but the box accidentally got carried away by waves. When she was found, she lost her memory. The prince became a king and married the big sister, but on their wedding day the big sister got killed.

Anyway I still don't think they switched. It's too ridiculous. The writer had to think of a convincing reason for that. I really want to read the novel, but considering it's not being translated... 🙄

I mean, at early ep where the boys went to the festival they talked about Zizan came to Tianqi. That was their first meeting. If Tilan came along with the Zhunian envoy, I find it weird, like why? Why both came? And if it was Tilan and not Zizan in the festival, why did they switch? Also, did the emperor ask to marry Zizan bcs he thought the one he met is Zizan so they sent her? This part is confusing and hard to believe 🤔 but there is a drama where a girl met the crown prince when they were kids, but this girl went missing for years. The crown prince then married her twin sister thinking she's his first love. At that time twins weren't allowed to exist so their family had to keep it secret. this twins had their reason, but Zizan and Tilan? 🤷‍♀️

If only you know the pain of Journey of Flower 🤦‍♀️ the man didn't want to admit his love until she died 🤦‍♀️ he even tried to kill himself rather than admitting his love.
