Lin Zehui looks like Wang Hedi's twin! Some producers should consider casting them as twins!

Some people complained about the ladies makeup, but for me the color isn't the problem, the fake lower eyelashes is the problem.

What I dislike is FL's lip tint. It is so old! I used to wear that lip tint more than 15 years ago! Lip tint + ombre = ouch 😑
The ML's matte lipstick was also hideous. Why not putting colorless lip balm? Were they deliberately trying to copy Wang Hedi's Dongfang Qingcang?

Kong Xueer is playing as Li Yan? Wait does that mean Li Yanyan??? I didn't expect it! If she is Li Yanyan... ouch 🤦‍♀️

I was shocked when I saw his reuters! I was thinking "could he be...?" Damn, I can't believe they gave the role of a guard to a kid!? He would've been perfect as Changgeng tho...

This mini is pure romcom, nothing serious. The villain is hideous and unconvincing.

The big brother is a dork. Thankfully he got a wife, and I wished the writer would show their story.

I also like Han Zhen, he is adorable and witty.

If you want a silly romcom with visuals lining up, this is for you.

I watched quite a few of mini, and this one is one of the very few that i like. The chemistry is good, kissing is good, acting is good, it's just they pushed everything on the last 2 eps. It wouldn't hurt to add 2 more eps. The amnesia arc is annoying, but the emotional scenes are so good.

For me, Tu Zhiying is better in doing emotional acting rather than childish one. It would be nice if Tu Zhiying and Dai Gaozheng can reunite in another drama.

She owns a tea house, yet the shop is always empty. The only customer is the grand master (ML). Did he rent the whole shop a year so no customer can come? As the grand master he is so IDLE! His one and only job is coming to the tea house to flirt with FL.

The plot is just going back and forth:
FL breaks up with him, says they are strangers, yet she always accommodates him, then she threatens him, stabs him, cares for him, accepts him back, stabs him again, loves him, says they are strangers again, welcomes him to her house for the Nth times, loves him again, and this cycle continues until the end. He comes to her house every day and she always welcomes him. Does she even know what "strangers" mean? What she does in the whole drama is "I'm angry at you, I'm being sulky, don't poke me or I'll bite, but don't ignore me as well."

Also the 2ML is a hostage prince from Nanlu kingdom, yet the emperor casually let him stays in the teahouse for months. The emperor is so chill!

As a general, FL is weak. She keeps getting rescued by ML and there is barely any fight scenes, just like other Hu Yiyao's mini.

These 2 are so cute! I'm happy for this reunion, they are having so much fun and feel comfortable with e/o 😆❤

I watched this for Xin Yunlai. Also, veteran Wang Yan is here, as well as my lady Li Sheng 👍🏻 I missed seeing Li Sheng on screen! And she only appeared for 4 eps 😭😭😭

I like the story and cinematography. Acting is brilliant. However I can't fully like Zhuang Hanyan. She is so revenge driven, impulsive and blind. She attacks everyone, even venting her hatred and anger to Lingzhi 🤦‍♀️ No wonder she needs a strategist, bcos her way is "go straight and stab the enemy", Jason style 🤦‍♀️

Tbh romance is unnecessary for this drama. It could be a suspense, revenge, investigation drama, with both leads merely as allies. Fu Yunxi's feelings was one sided until the last 4 eps. Until then, Zhuang Hanyan's eyes towards him was full of hatred and disgust. So for me the romance wasn't convincing.

This is just my very personal preference:
1. Who did the makeup for Chen Duling? She looks like she is sweating all the time. I have seen countless dewy makeup on korean celebs, but this is not it.
2. What's with the last 2 eps? Suddenly it became Scream or Bloody Mary hanfu version. The only thing I like is when Hanyan closed the gate.
3. Zhuang Shiyang, he looks like he is drunk for 20 years. Eyes half closed, staggering when he walks, unsteady, spouting nonsense. Rather than timid, he looks pretentious and fake.

Dammit, indeed 😑😑😑 all the princes are named Xiao ChangXX, so it is VERY easy to get confused. Perhaps I should share the character list I made on discussion thread?

Xiao Changfeng is NOT the 12th prince. He is Prince Xun, a relative to the royal family.

He plays as Xiao Changqing, the 5th prince. He married a noble lady, Gu Qingzhi, who committed suicide after her family was executed. He deeply loves her, but it was one sided.

He was the emperor's fav son who was trained to be the next emperor. When he fell for Gu Qingzhi, he begged the emperor to bestow a marriage. In return, he became the emperor's sword, doing dirty jobs for him, including supervising the execution 😭

After his wife died, he remains in mourning period and lives in seclusion, refuses to return to the court. He deeply hates the emperor and plans to get revenge. Xiao Changqing only loves his deceased wife and his little brother, Xiao Changying (9th prince). He returns to the court after finding out "someone" is targeting the emperor.

He is extremely smart, as smart as our couple. Xiao Huayong often threatens him to do dirty jobs, while Shen Xihe prefers to ally with him. Xiao Changqing doesn't mind, bcos their target is the same: the emperor dies. He often does things that actually helps the couple.

He doesn't remarry.

I LOVE HIM! Xiao Changqing is my no 1 fav character! ❤ Obviously he is the SML.

We still have the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 8th princes. However between all the princes in the novel, the 3rd and 6th can be eliminated as their roles aren't as important 🤔 but there are about 6 male actors on the list (excluding 3 for fix characters), so I'm not sure...

The novel is set during Tang dynasty, but why Meng Ziyi's style looks like from earlier dynasty? As in around year 200-600? 🤔

Now, there are 2 other girls in the novel: Shen Yingruo and Xue Jinqiao. Between Kong Xueer and Zhou Jingbo, I want Xueer as A'Ruo though, but Zhou Jingbo has the innocence of A'Ruo 🤔

WHAT A CAST!!! The novel has a huge list of characters, so I did expect a long list, but seeing those names made me WOW!

I rewatched it last month, this time with my mom. Then I realized I hate this drama more than I hate JoF. At least in JoF there are only 3 and half villains, but in PA, more than half characters are villains 😑 evil after evil appeared one after another. It was another level of exhaustion. Even my mom kept getting angry and tired 😅

Also, since I have watched Legend of Shen Li, then rewatched PA, I felt like their characters are exactly the same. As if Shen Li and Xing Zhi died and reincarnated as Chu Qiao and Yue. Or perhaps Chu Qiao and Yue are actually their kids 🤔

Tbh I really wanted to chop Yue down most of the time, esp when he calmly said "I gave you a hint" to Yan Xun when his family was in jeopardy. Seriously? A hint? Isn't he your friend or just a passerby? Also, being a stone type of tsundere, he was more annoying than the usual tsundere. At least usual tsundere are vocal and grumpy that we can argue all day. You can't have argument with Yue bcos he doesn't speak.

I like this spin off. It is like a travelog with old and new friends. However the staff seemed like they didn't know what to do and forced them to form a love line. It was good just as travelog though.

I missed s1 cast so much and I also love Dahye and Dongjin.
