this ending was...not satisfying for me. I had such high hopes for this, considering the budget and its lineup, but while it was a decent drama, it didnt meet my expectations.

The flashbacks were entirely too much. They would have benefitted in making season 1 about the past and then season 2 about the present. I enjoyed the backstories at first but once they started to take up whole episodes i became tired of it quickly.

Number 2, characters like kisoo and the bus driver seemed like they would have more relevance but they didnt lol, it slightly irritated me honestly.

Also, damn...not even a full interaction between dooshik and juwon? or the rushed ass reunion scene? man.. i know people will be like 'it was like that in the webtoon!' but they definitely changed some things so i dont know why that couldnt be done as well

Lastly...the girl that was being bullied in huisoo's school being even more senior than the head guy of the NIS? weird but, maybe it has something to do with the next series.

To be completely honest, this series is an 8.7 at best, nice effects and even better acting but it seems like korean writers suffer from a sickness that makes writing a good plot till the end impossible.

the transferred student is a cameo from another webtoon of the same author, hes not going to be in this series, but they might make a series just for him so who knows

i loved this drama, it was great for turning my brain off and letting off steam, and while i didnt exactly find it boring, i agree with what you said about the lack of identity and about the romance.
A reason i liked the 2nd CP more and wished for more screen time was because the 1st CP relationship was too 'perfect' and while that is great for people who love romance and cutesy pairings, it didnt pique my interest as much as the banter and playfulness of the 2nd CP, coupled with the pining from Gu Ran? I was sold.
However to anyone reading this i would recommend this as a feel good series which delivers in everything it was promised to be, cutesy, youthful and drama free. Great drama to use to unwind from more heavy/serious ones

this is exactly what i thought, SGQ's cunning is very obvious, but once i rewatched i noticed what you said about the personality shift, i was like 'why does YWS seem so unguarded and emotional now when it didnt seem that way when she was with her 'master' ' so i started to believe that she had something up her sleeve but i didnt want to seem like i was reaching. this is a very good explanation of your thoughts!

i feel like drama watchers just expect characters to be OP right from the bat, because everyone is aware of GZY's shortcomings and pointing them out and im like....thats kinda the point isnt it? everything that goes down from the moment he was made sword wielder is likely going to be part of his character arc, or at least i hope so, because it doesnt make any sense for the ML of the show to stay weak for long, hes been an alcoholic and complete bum for a long time hes not going to suddenly change and become some stoic ruler in that short time lmao-

I thought it was just me haha, the tension in the scenes is just not there for me, its giving cartoon villain, and the 'morally grey' vibe is just....meh. Esthers acting is...okay for now, im just happy shes not using the voice she did in lbfad, or i may have had to drop this lol

the parents are more of the main characters than the kids i think, for me it would have been great to give less screentime to the present storyline in order for people to appreciate the past storyline more

That doesnt mean its boring lol, it being a 'snoozefest' is the reason why its rated so highly, none of the juvenile jealousy and miscommunication or unnecessary tension, this was exactly what it promised to be, a feelgood drama, and it delivered in that respect.

its a coming of age high school romance im confused about what tension you expect? and if you just wanted them to meet and instantly like each other then i guess there are other dramas for you, but it is a really feel good drama that deserves all the praise.

im liking it so far (it does feel a bit stale but apparently this is an 'intro')but im just like...these kids are about to go to college and in korea im pretty sure its around 18/19... so why cant the parents just tell them theyre gonna be killed for having their powers or you know just actually communicate haha in bong seok's case.

Also, kang hoon's scenes w the other two just make me cringe because hes barely interacted with hee soo so what even gives him the right to be jealous lol, like i get its teen romance and stuff but still....be logical man, youre class prez!

anyways, looking forward to the next episodes

i hate you all that complained about plot now were getting the forced drama, i signed up for a nice fluffy romcom now we get the 'plot' like 4 episodes before it ends oh brother

honestly, i dropped hidden love, ZLS wasnt giving what she usually gave this time, the character felt too emotionally underdeveloped/immature for me to ever feel comfortable with that relationship, i dont understand how her 11 year old self behaved more mature than her 19 year old self, i couldnt do it anymore. which sucks because i love both ZLS and CZY

why did they give MYC and the other girl so much screen time? idc about them!
