Cruel City and Nine were the best dramas of the year for me. I had serious withdrawal when they ended. They were by far the most well written and executed dramas that I have seen in a while. Notable mentions are Dating Agency Cyrano and King of Drama.
Heartwrenching and powerful so far. It's much deeper than the words rom-com give credit for, and there is great…
Her acting has improved soo much. I was really surprised in the 1st episode at how much better she has gotten. She was a bit shaky in the beginning but its all good now.
Nice article.
I feel the same way about Dramafever. I sometimes get the feeling that I'm missing what is being said and things are lost in translation. And as I've been watching kdramas for a few years sometimes I'm able to pick up the differences between what is said and what it is translated as. IMO, Viki I feel is much more closely translated and if anything is not understood there is always someone to explain it.
But these problems will always arise in translating. Sigh...sometimes i wish that I would wake up one day and I'll suddenly be able to understand korean. Life would be hella great. lol
Lee Joon did a great job. Went into the movie with low expectations but he exceeded them. I understood a good part of it but the ending scenes then confused the hell out of me. But still was a better movie than expected. It was all sorts of dark and twisted. Although the sex scenes were explicit, they did contribute to the story and didn't feel unnecessary. Good job actor Lee Joon.
A great drama. Awesome actors, great plot and beautiful music. Unlike some people who felt the ending was rushed I thought it was such an epic build-up to a climax and then it just plummeted making the withdrawal that much worse. The ending was perfect and reflected reality and the nature of the world they live in. Loved it <3
Crossing my fingers and toes and praying for a sequel :))
It took me more than a week to get thru but glad I stuck it out. Loved it. The storyline was good and the actors great. I've watched 3 other saeguk dramas but this one got me all interested in the joseon period.
