I saw this movie pop up on my usual 'free media' website I use and because am stuck in a blizzard. Decided to relax and watch a movie, instead of making subtitles. I gave the movie a 6.1, I think. It wasn't terrible, nor do I think it was low budget for its genre, but I feel like it doesn't have a great "rewatch" value.
This is a mixed blend of comedy with a splash of thriller elements. The male lead was good and so was the antagonist. However, as the movie seemed mostly "comedy" wise. There were only a few moments where I smiled. Nothing like a Stephen Chow or Sammo Hung movie.
- Subtitles aren't great but good enough to where you can watch and figure things out. - The first episode is the last video in the playlist, which should be the 15th video. (the video with the most views in the playlist) - The channel creator merged episodes, cut intro and outros, etc. which is why there is only '15' videos. I'd roughly suggest each video is about 2 episode each.
For some reason, this is very common. People will take tv series, chop them up, merge them and then use their own "title" for the videos. It can get a bit confusing when you're trying to figure out what the drama actually is.
For some reason I am not a fan of "transitional" dramas. When a country or timeframe is undertaking major changes from one era to the next. Maybe because it tends to have too much political aspects that ruin the series for me. I did like the historical parts, but I started to lose interest around episode nine (too).

First episode I really enjoyed. I am also a huge sucker for these older series. I find the female actresses' more attractive in their 00's era appearances.
I am a huge fan and sucker for older JDRAMA's (90s, 80s, 70s, 60s) so my rating for this series might be higher than others due to my biased to enjoying them over modern series. Plus, I had to read Renzaburo Shibata's novel when I was studying Japanese in Osaka.
If you enjoy Japanese History and/or Samurai lore, this would be worth watching. I do also vaguely recall a three-hour special made in the 90s for the novel, if I can find it, I will make a post about it just encase people would rather watch an abridged version.
This is different, at first I thought it was some space invaders wuxia series because they dress as if they're Power Rangers (Super Sentai). There's only ten episodes from what I can tell, not twenty.
First episode kept me entertained, from the plot to the costumes to the visual effects. I definitely recommend watching the first episode at least. Then you can tell people how you watched this very strange mortal kombat power rangers wuxia show.
Not sure if I will watch the entire series but I will run my Cantonese script for the remaining nine episodes (my Cantonese v1.1 script is 10x better then the basic ai scripts outthere but probably has a 8% margin of error). I just won't run my "PTT" script afterwards as that requires heavy GPU usage and time.
