Lately I have been watching more JDRAMA's again and this one is a nice slow burn. I enjoy the slice of life dry Japanese humor and how they incorporated it into a "sci-fi" storyline. If you're thinking that it has CGI aliens and flying saucers because of the poster and synopsis, don't fret because it's the complete opposite and give the first or second episode a try to see if your cup of tea.
I am on episode 20 but episode 15 is such a solid episode. If you enjoy anime, it's where after Goku, Naruto, Gon, etc. is always training and you FINALLY get a glimpse at how it has paid off. Overall all though, everything about this drama I find solid. It has great fight scenes (could have more, imo), romance, comedy, crime, mystery, etc.
The only thing that is still bothering me is how the storyline will play into what happened at the very beginning of the first episode. Per the synopsis (so not a spoiler), the main character gets transported to a fictional Chinese dynasty. Why, lol? So far there is zero logical explanation other than the author using this trope/niche to be included as a keyword or genre for the series. I hope this will eventually get addressed with a good explanation because it would be sad to see such an amazing storyline get ruined just because the author felt like more people would enjoy the series if people thought it was an Isekai genre.
I will make subs for this if I can't find any. They sell this series with ENG Subs DVD/VCD on eBay but can't seem to find them uploaded anywhere online. Please respond to my comment if you find it, as this show isn't on my priority list atm.
You might like The Two Sisters, although the writer shouldn't have changed and they seemed to start caring more…
Lol, it took me a few minutes to find my own comment from the notification. I don't know much about the writers or the tv ratings but this series kept me entertained for awhile. Was debating on starting Desperate Mrs. Seonju or Cinderlla's Game next but lately have been hooked on Russian and Spanish dramas.
Going to try and focus, to make subs for this series because I downloaded the first ten episodes and it looks really interesting. You can find this show online but the subs are either really bad or the sites split the videos into 2-5 parts. Plus some are poorly labeled. It took me awhile to fine a good source of this series in 1080p quality with a proper order of episodes.
girl! same! I'm OBSSESSED! I desperately need more kdramas like Signal, don't really care for time travel rom-coms…
lol 😆 guy * -- But if you like Signal, there is: Tunnel, Life on Mars (based off a British series), Train and maybe Voice. I really enjoy the male lead in Voice, his acting (imo) is superb.
I don't recommend watching this drama at the gym. Has 'R' rated sex scenes, nothing raunchy.
This drama is nothing special. What confuses me is how they go to a catholic school, yet the teachers are okay with their "sinful" behavior. I'm not religious but at least have things make sense.
If you're someone who enjoys spicy hot romance novels, then this might be a drama for you.
