Technically speaking, 406 taunts PSE by telling him that instead of sharing the rest of her photos, he will share the kind of sounds HJ makes when she's with 406.
In the Novel, Sa Eon briefly believes that 406 is HJ's psychotic ex (that's why in ep 3 or 4 he refused to handover HJ to 406).

Ep 4, epilogue showed him smiling after his initial reaction in the car right? Kind of like a facinated look? Could that be a clue?

They've changed some of the characters.

For instance, in the novel, Sa Eon was jealous of a male director who worked in the centre with HJ (the director is 12 years older than her and knew her for almost as long as SE knew her, so here SE's point of jealousy is mostly rooted on what could have been if he and HJ were close all this time since the director can call her dear and other kind endearments and HJ trusts the director alot too while HJ doesn't open to SE at all).

Basically some of SE's Jealous lines that are directed on the SML are ones that were originally thrown against the old director😅

Listen to the latest 406 calls in ep 4....you might notice a difference...it's very subtle but compared to the initial calls, theres a slight difference from Sa Eon's end 🙊

It started with her mum forcing her to not to talk but over time it naturally became part of her (at least in the novel).
Since i didn't want to spoil the exact reason to OP only I mentioned that her situation is complicated and told them to check out ep 3 for the exact reason 🫠

FL was forced to lie since she was a kid...that has to leave some emotional scarring in terms of speech specially since she's naturally quite introverted😅

Your idea on FL's mum's treatment is spot on- she's an opportunistic leech. FL's father is her ex-husband.

Treating the FL coldly for the election- it's the opposit reason. In his POV, the FL was forced to marry him and she has a manipulative mother who forces her to do things. So by putting distance, he hopes to keep her safe and not force her to do anything she dislikes. It didn't occur to him that his behaviour was truly hurting her since all this time he thought that he was irrelevant to her (yes, he got it all wrong)

He already knows about how controlling the mum is (and how manipulating parents can be in general) so he will understand her. That's one of the reasons why their marriage is so distant (he flatly told HJ that she shouldn't bother being her mum's puppet with him in one of the flashback episodes).

In the novel, she fell first and he later realised his feelings years before their wedding (kind of like what happened in Hidden Love. She loved him since she was a kid)

No idea how they will do it in the drama since they have changed their childhood story abit.
