He's Sa Eon's dad. The reason why he looked so flusterred was because it seemed like the Chairman was making a whaled threat/ snide comment by comparing the dad with PSE and PSE's deceased grandfather.
Since the main reason why the marriage even happened was because the Chairman was hiding PSE's dad's secrets, they can't really be "buddies"
The bodyguards (BG) are still there but HeeJoo explicitly said that he shouldn't make it obvious so they follow…

Since he has been getting updates ever since the first kidnapping, they probably followed her to the car service station. Eventhough the incident felt like it took some time in HJ's pov, in reality it probably didn't take more than 5 minutes (not long enough to alert the bodyguards that something was going on at least?)

The twist is hidden between the lines. The real dom is HeeJoo (but she doesn't know it). Sa Eon will do anything for her...she just needs to say it since he still has no idea that she likes him (in his pov she just tollerates him because of the forced marriage).
He's already breaking all his rules for her unintentionally🙊
