Point 2 - what the above comment said but also may be it's because he's a tsundere? He wants to keep it a secret but you can see he was hurt when he found out that the FL was saying that she isn't his wife- at least he seemed too flustered about it for somebody who should have expected that question.
May be i'm being delulu here, but it low key looked like he saw the event as a secret date (with him being the only one aware it's a date). I mean it is a good excuse since he did need an interpreter...and he did arrange it right after the kidnapping "scam".

There's alot of miscommunication between the two. Pretty much a secretly love-hate/ overtly indifferent relationship. At the very least they are in denial with their feelings.🙈


ML pretty much confessed his true feelings during the dinner party when he called her his "weakness".

There's alot more to the story they haven't revealed yet but it's kind of implied that the ML has liked her for a long time (may be even before the wedding since they've known eachother for a really long time through family connections). His rude demeanour might be because he didnt't want to endanger her since she's already vulnerable due to her past trauma (it's connected with her speech issue).

FL does like him too (remember how the producer/supervisor mentioned that the FL used to want to be in the same screen with the ML when she caught the FL watching a mafia show?). It's just that she's heartbroken because of the ML's soulless response to her kidnapping.

Jae Mi always wanted to be a mum so it's highly likely HJ also probably knew about it. But HJ also has his family trauma. He blamed himself for breaking up his family (i mean between his mum's death and his dad's loss of love) so he probably got cold feet and didn't want to drag her with him? He usually uses harsh methods to push her away 😅

It's from ep 10- the scene where Jae Mi tries to "kidnap" HJ from his childhood home? When Jae Mi said that she wanted to meet his dad and HJ was hesitant, she jokingly said that may be they should tell him that she is pregnant🙊

It was Yusuke all along and not Kazu (i.e. Kazu was just basically the messanger). Once Yusuke "left" in the end at the airport, Kazu was able to be his true self again with Miki and what he felt for Saeko was just friendship.

More like Bandit kidnapped her with the genuine intention of blackmailing the ML but his plan backfired because the ML thought he was lying and didn't cooperate (ML has a reputation for being a stonewall during negotiations in general)


The FL hears the whole conversation but misunderstands the ML's reasoning as to why he doesn't take the call seriously and the story begins from there.

Imagine, [contract marriage forced on the FL to begin with ]+ [(allegedly) cold hearted husband who doesn't seem to even care if his wife is killed] +[ ironclad prenup penalty clause that the FL cannot afford even if she wants a divorce].....what could possibly happen 🙈

A few chapters pf the webtoon is out. Based on it seems more like the opposite (minus the part where the kidnapper is hired by the FL/ ML)

TBF most of her anger/ childish behaviour stems from misdirected frustration on how her mum prioritized Da Rim over everybody else ever since they were kids.
Certainly not a mature move but it is realistic considering they were all young back then and their dad was pretty much absent too.

It's nice that the sister (and brother) at least recognized what she did back then was wrong and is trying to make amends?
