Their mothers are trying to set them up with someone but I wonder why they never thought of bringing these two…
Sibling mentality - they aren't related in any way but BSR's mum did raise CSH like her own son (hell even BSR herself raised him like her own kid at times) ๐ ๐ ๐
Just finished watching EP 12 and wanna talk about Mo-eun and Do-Han's relationship cause everyone is literally…
So true! Also Dan ho is a very emphatic person. Knowing Moeum and the sacrifice she already has to make to do her job, may be he wants to protect her from the society's harsh impression on having a relationship with a single father/ adopting his daughter?
Even her mum and the Lavendar gang do not see Dan ho as marriage material (i can't recall if CSH's mum agreed to this as well though since she's supposed to be more "modern")๐คทโโ๏ธ
A friend of mine made a good observation after watching episode 12, but does anyone else feel like BSR is intentionally…
Unlike CSH, may be for BSR seeing themselves as an actual couple might still be a little awkward? CSH spent 10+ years pining over her whereas BSR didn't dare to acknowledge her feelings until a few weeks ago?
Does anyone else find the product placement odd for this show ? Like Sunhill cigarettes are definitely paying…
Probably not a sponser considering all the anti smoking jokes๐ ๐ ๐
The only drama i'v personally noticed that may have gotten sponsorship is "First Love : Hatsukoi "(J-drama) since they pretty much made the ML smoke Marlboro cig.s throughout his youth scenes and present day scenes + it was part of their time capsule. The couple's kiss catch phrase is basically "smoke flavour"๐คฃ ๐
Based on this week's episodes, it kind of seemed like she still wasn't comfortable enough to cook for her family…
Her parents concern has to be minimised so she has to๐.
It is a difficult industry so she needs to stand out. One thing i've noticed is how the drama keeps highlighting her keenness in flavour profiles. May be to help her stand out, she might do some kind of fusion? Add her own twist to traditional Korean dishes like they did in "Business Proposal"?
The Korean basics class is to help her get certified but like her ex said, if she's really keen, she can explore more options. Knowing kdramas and how LND seems to have a tendancy to repeat plot points for multiple characters, the final battle might be for SR to choose her life with SH now or to go โ๏ธ to culinery school and come back as a well trained chef?๐
I like such dramas where all the characters are good.....no particular character is there to tick you off....…
Based on this week's episodes, it kind of seemed like she still wasn't comfortable enough to cook for her family (she pretty much jumped like a skittish cat when her parents walked on her cooking). May be she's trying to make sure her cooking is at a level even her parents can't argue? (Since at the moment their approval doesn't sound 100% solid).
Personally, I kind of liked how she basically spent the entirety of episode 11 testing out french cuisine from a book she couldn't even read while still going for her usual Korean class - it subtly shows how passionate she is to expand her dream (even if the book was just a plot device)๐
The writing is definitely a little wonky (I'm really not sure what message I'm meant to be getting from the second…
My take on the second couple is that the CEO had a sheltered and controlled life thanks to his overbaring parents. Ever since he tangled with NJY, he's been getting more exposure to the world. NJ's wild yet sweet demeanour is a good fit for his kind but sheltered personality? Since he really needs to break free from his parents' shackles๐
In NJY's case, despite her sunny approach to life, she is still haunted by her past. Perhaps with the CEO's support, she'll be able to have more control with her life? And give people a chance may be (Mr Hater wasn't really as bad as she thought after all- specially after ep 8's revelation).
I could be overanalysing though - a bit bias with the second couple as they are my favourite coupling ๐
Isn't it because he hid his identity? The FL has a complex relationship with her mum's foster families. It's going…
Ah...since this is a Kdrama, can't rule out the possibility ๐
I assumed that he was so serious since the FL didn't forgive him over the kiss so he's expecting an even worse reaction from her for betraying her trust?
Yes, the writer sis doesn't know that Ji Uk is connected to the orphanage/ mum used to volunteer with him there, so he could have been her last foster child?
Did they mention that the mum stopped fostering after the dad passed away?
I can't wait till she finds out who her future daughter in law will be after working so hard to leashe her son. Mum was her own worst enemy in the end ๐คญ
You know that she's going to cause a hissy fit. Specially now that she knows about Hae Yeong๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Hope they won't drag ithe inebitable drama for too long though๐ค
It seems like ML was somehow responsible for the death of MFL's father because of his statement "Will she ever…
Isn't it because he hid his identity? The FL has a complex relationship with her mum's foster families. It's going to hurt her when she finds out that the ML knew her all along but didn't mention anything.
Think she actually once asked him if he was stalking her (jokingly) long before the contract marriage came up just because he knew too many things about her.
NGL even i also was wondering if he was her uncle (seems to match his personality) at first but not too sure๐On…
Ohhh yeah- South Pole expedition, but that's a long term objective if i'm not mistaken- years away.
The mum's situation is really daunting. I know she's supposed to be annoying but I can't help liking her for some reason๐
Cancer and depression makes sense but if they are really going to kill off the mum, it would really suck for the ML. To constantly worry about losing both his mum and partner is just too much- specially considering everything he's been through so far ๐ฅฒ๐ฅฒ๐ฅฒ๐ฅฒ
Seriously- they need to communicate soon ๐๐๐Did the dad, senior, and mum study together in the same university?…
Hope they resolve this misunderstanding within ep 11 itself ๐ค
The mum just seems to genuinely adore her job (she practically sparkles when she talks about it) so don't think she'd do anything to jeopardize it. Dad probably misunderstood the reason behind "her sparkle"๐
NGL even i also was wondering if he was her uncle (seems to match his personality) at first but not too sure๐On…
I think you are right about the subs! I noticed there were quite a lot of differences while watching Lovely Runner on Netflix. The translations that are available on online stream sites while the show was airing are quite different in certain scenes (Netflix's version was not as impactful if you get what I mean)๐ *** Yep, SR knows about Moeum's "new friend from the park" but i don't think she knows that she's his daughter๐ *** I didn't realize there was so much more left to cover until I saw your list!๐ But since the main couple's relationship will sail next week (and all the parents love them), hopefully we won't get any rushed episodes๐ค๐ค๐ค
*** The memorial- it's possible isn't it? The mum's general theme is lack of memories of her family/ regrets/ being forgetful/ her forced early retirement, and coincidentally the memorial is supposed to act like a memory time capsule? It's too perfect for a coincidence.๐๐๐
The only thing I can think of for now is may be hopefullyy it's nothing major (2 major health scares in 1 drama is too much unless they have another ginseng drink that helps with memory loss to promote๐). It might just be a symptom of her getting older and the fact that despite all the mother's sacrifices, her beloved job abandoned her. Now all she's left with is her estranged family so she needs to find a way to fix it (i.e. collect happy memories with her second chance?) Dad too tbh- he needs to be more open instead of using the hospital as a shield๐
Seriously- they need to communicate soon ๐๐๐Did the dad, senior, and mum study together in the same university?…
Oooooh it was Africa! I remembered it incorrectly๐คฆโโ๏ธ Ikr?! He was so giddy with joy ๐
The entire family's issues keep coming back to Africa ngl. The lilies didn't help either (TBF they've been close colleagues for nearly 20 years so the super knowing her favourite flower isn't really that suspicious either๐)
just popping in to comment that i am loving danho & moeumโs loveline and moeum is absolutely unhinged and unpredictive…
NGL even i also was wondering if he was her uncle (seems to match his personality) at first but not too sure๐
On Netflix, the subs mentioned it as "I have a child"
Can't remember the exact quote for the second point but I think he did mention at one point that she came back to him๐
Since we have quite alot of episodes left, they might give attention to dilemmas of dating a single parent? Like in One Spring Night? The mothers all collectively agreed that having a kid means that SML cannot be considered as future son in law material afterall (not sure if i misunderstood their reaction tbh)
at first I was like they should just make him a cheater instead of complicating it so much or breaking their relationship…
I loved how ep 10 focussed on how ALL the characters digested and reacted to SR's situation (past and present)...right down to even the mom's friends. It hits more because there was nothing exaggerated with their reactions.
Even her mum and the Lavendar gang do not see Dan ho as marriage material (i can't recall if CSH's mum agreed to this as well though since she's supposed to be more "modern")๐คทโโ๏ธ
