If it's too uncomfortable for you, don't watch it. Watch cute romance, there's lots of those. She's not lying about…
According to the novel, the mum did force her to stop talking when she was young (around 9-12 years old). But this in turn eventually caused her to naturally stop talking as a trauma response.
That's why she's comfortable enough to talk to her dad but doesn't even accidently talk to others (you'd think in the last 20 years or so she would have accidently said something right?)
The ML knows she used to speak because when they first met when they were young, she was able to speak with him (this was before the traumatic accident).
Her deception happens after the blackmailing technically but the ML doesn't take it the wrong way and understands her once he finds out the truth since he too has his secrets.
English translation seems to be available till chapter 11 (basically till ep 2 mpre or less). The original RAW version is available on Kakao based on other comments but you need a Korean number to access.
Hey fellow OBSESSIVES who are LIVING and BREATHING this show like me! ๐To those who TOTALLY get how IMPOSSIBLE…
TMAI...i'm breaking all my rules about avoiding spoilers, just scovering through X and online for new chapers just to fuel through till Friday๐ซ ๐ซ ๐ซ
Haha love your comparison! In a way yes but I don't think it will be as extra as 50 Shades or ๐ช๐ช๐ช as…
I don't think they'll make the kdrama half as ๐ฅ as the novel though since it's not a NF original release but they'll try their best to simulate it๐
Btw how did you access the novel?๐ I only found the eng translation till chapter 11
(Sorry if you already mentioned, I skipped most of the comment to avoid spoilers about PSE's past๐)
She got mad, when he said , to send the corpse ๐ I guess she donโt know he is a hostage negotiator trained…
Guess it didn't help that the last words she heard him say before her kidnapping was again him refusing to negotiate for the hostages lives during the unrelated live broadcast ๐
Some comments mentioned they want younger and more handsome actor as main male lead in this drama.Yoo Yeon Seok…
God no! The lines work because he is mature and is able to bring out a "dangerous" ๐ฅ aura. The lines would totally flop if some pretty boy in his 20s said them (no offence to young actors) ๐
Has the actor repeated this behaviour after the video in question? I'm not really familiar with the actor so curious…
Exactly!!!
In many ways he's kind of like Mr Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. Behind his arrogant mask, he's actually a misunderstood softie (at least with his personal life)๐
I particularly prefer it when Yoo Yeon Seok plays nice guys like the two doctors in Hospital Playlist and Dr.…
Has the actor repeated this behaviour after the video in question? I'm not really familiar with the actor so curious since that incident happened years ago๐
**** Dom/ sub character- It's very subtle but aside from the affection side, doesn't the FL have a stronger hold on the ML (eventhough she doesn't realize it)?
Rather than dominating her, the FL usually gets her way even if it makes him uneasy? I mean for instance the whole work saga, nobody wants her to work and even he's hesitant because of her safety, but he still ignores his mum's demands. He likes her but sacrifices his feelings in order to keep her safe (even if his technic is terrible for everybody involved).
Also there's a subtle nod to how he puts her first because she has the master bedroom whereas in ep 2, his own room is a much smaller one (it's shown at the end when she rushes back home to see if he's ok).
Technically speaking, the ML's possesive side is also conflicted right? I mean he wasn't planning to marry her originally eventhough he liked her and only did marry her because her mum was going to force her to marry a scumbag and he had an opportunity to protect her? His possessive side only started to come out once HeeJoo started to blackmail him๐
wait so the first kidnapper failed and just let her go right? and then she took the role of the kidnapper hoping…
Even I'm not too sure if she's her actual mum tbh. I recall reading that she was her step mum but it's been a while so I'm not sure if i'm confusing it with another story๐
In the drama so far Hee Joo seems to see her as her own mum based on how hurt she is/ the way the mum asked "who do you take after". At the very least, if she is her step mum, she's been raising Hee Joo since she was really young.
Since her parents used to run/ work at a club, may be it's possible the mum ended up having a affair with the chairman after meeting him there so she divorced Hee Joo's dad?
I can't remember if it's correct sincr it's been awhile but in the novel/ webtoon, Hee Joo makes a comment that implies that the chairman genuinely likes her mum

Would you mind sharing the link for the Chinese version if possible?

This is wayyyyyy better than 50 shades anyway (not really a fan of 50S).
If you are into Contract marriage plots/ grey leads/ misunderstood couples/ romance and suspense, you might like this ๐
It's just that the ML SEEMS to have this particular dark romance coding- dark, brooding, seemingly arrogant and possesive vibe with a hero complex.
The FL is more feisty than the usual damsels in distress (i.e. she's not despite how she looks so far at least).
It's just a more thrilling version of a contract marriage. There's alot of misdirection between the MC which makes the story interesting๐
"Silence speaks louder than words" basically describes their true hidden intentions/ feelings.
In many ways he's kind of like Mr Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. Behind his arrogant mask, he's actually a misunderstood softie (at least with his personal life)๐
