what episode does he start perusing her and what episode do they actually get together? also is there any break…
Honestly IMO the ML has been reluctantly / unconsciously persuing her since ep 5. I mentioned it as reluctant because it's kind of clear he doesn't want to but his curiousity/ frustration from the past eggs him into it? He just can't help himself
His intention to pursuit her gets more noticable from ep 9 onwards-the morning after their confrontation at the hospitalized. It's noticable in the way he interacts with his friend and their hints.
The FL is aware of the ML's intensions from ep 11 or so onwards.
I’m just about to start this drama, can anyone give me some insight about the character of the female lead?
She isn't a damsel in distress.
What I like about her is that she isn't easily manipulated nor does she have any major "noble idiocy" self sacrificial characteristics.
Since she is 20- 21 years old (first 3 episodes) when the drama starts, some of her actions might come off as naive due to lack of life experience (she's from an influential family). But we can see how she blossoms with time.
She's quite blunt and straight forward so misunderstandings don't get dragged usually. That being said, she's quite gentle, quirky, and loving depending on who she's with.
Misunderstandings wise, there's only 1 that's integral to most of the plot. I found it interesting.
The couple is well written. They have a partnership kind of relationship so it's lovely to watch them interact as equals. It's a Rich ML x Rich Heiress relationship.
Cons (not really a negative point TBH but since you need a fair assessment): She can get a little temperamental at times but honestly it's quite understandable if you look at it in her POV. She's also a bit impulsive at the beginning of the drama but it tones down as the episodes progress.
Why is Shine On Me being banned in Vietnam over nine dash line clash with China? I was thinking it would be because…
The borderline issue comes up quite often from what I've seen since several other dramas/ movies have been previously banned or scenes have been edited for similar reasons.
May I know who was the girl with XG when she came back from her trip on the last episode?
Lin's cousin (we briefly saw her at the Sheng birthday party). She's the one Lin asked Grandfather Sheng to groom as the next successor after Bok Kai's son proved to be a poor loser with no sportsmanship values.
I think most old K-romcoms pretty much cover this topic just with slight variations. I'm still relatively new…
IKR?! I know what JQX did was harsh but I cannot bring myself to dislike him. He went through so much at such a young age 🥲
Rewatch 🌧❄️- haha it does sound like the perfect combination ngl. Coincidentally I actually rewatched OG over the weekend (waiting for SOM was just too difficult) 🙈🙈🙈
I know OG has mixed reviews but honestly I unintentionally had the best experience ever since I watched OG while it was being aired along with The Princess Royal. So it felt like I was watching a multiverse where the royal couple's "third" life unfolds in modern China while simultaneously trying to save the crown in an ancient dynasty.
There was this one dialogue in TPR in particular I really loved where the FL told the ML that she wished in their next life she'd be the one who'd be pursuing/ waiting patiently for him because she kept hurting him.....I saw this episode around the time the FL in OG was searching for the ML so it just felt very serendipitous 🤭
If you haven't watched TPR, I totally recommend it. MaiMai is so badass in it (including ZLH) and the best part is we don't get any unnecessary censorship friendly endings (considering it's a second life romance).
I don't remember her weighing herself or even worrying about weight but I think it's pretty typical for women…
They did it in ep 4-6 if i remembwr correctly.
It was when XG joined the company and they were joking about the terrible food at the cafeteria/ discussed about her weight loss after falling off the balcony.
Can someone explain why Zhuang Xu hesitated in his relationship with Xi Guang even after knowing she didn't purposefully…
Financial issues mixed with an inferiority complex.
XG is the sole heir of a major gorup (basically like a chaebol family) whereas ZX's had a lot of financial issues. Since he felt he wasn't at the same level as XG, he chose the immature way to deal with his issues.
His reasoning for not wanting to start a relationship during college is understandable, but it's the way he treated her after that kind of sealed his fate. To make things worse, everytime he did try to connect, things kept going wrong for him. But again, because he didn't try hard enough, he lost his second chance.
So now nxg's dad regrets everything, a bit too late aint it. Him and zhuang xu would get along very well.
Honestly ZX is better. Once he understood the whole truth behind Rong, he at least completely cut ties with her (even if it was a year late). He even rejected Chris without leaving her hanging after learning his lesson from last time.
Meanwhile with Nie, the whole village, his parents, and XG kept giving him reasons why he should leave the parasitic mum/ daughter duo but he completely ignored them. It's even worse since we can see that a part of him already knows the truth 🤦♀️
i am at ep 33the other supposed daughter getting blamed for the ml's accident times and times again doesn't sit…
My intepretation of ep 33's repeat of the accident is more like a WHAT IF kind of question?
Lin has already mentioned several times he didn't blame anybody for the accident, BUT IF Lin was unreasonable and hell bent on revenge since he lost the one thing that finally gave his life meaning, XG would have been his target. It could have been completely dangerous.
[Not saying he should take revenge but we all know that if the accident happened to somebody like Rong or Lin's cousin, they wouldn't quietly accept their fate]
XG's issue with her father is that he didn't do enough to protect XG's "name" even after finding out the truth behind the accident. I mean, we were all disappointed with how he folded as soon as the mistress shed some crocodile tears and hugged him right? It's the same for XG.
i only watched til ep 19,then i dropped, not for the cast but the story etc...anyway, i wonder why up to these…
His situation is unfortunate but his self centred reaction was his downfall.
Even if Lin wasn't in the picture, if ZX showed even an ounce of genuine empathy towards XG, the masses would be more sympathetic (and even supportive).
ZX isn't inherently bad (if anything his professional growth is commendable). But his immature decidions and inability to accept defeat until XG had to spell out every tiny detail makes him a red-ish flag.
He's young though so hopefully he'll learn his lesson before it's too late again
Alcoholic interaction - you are spot on! The inevitable did happen (if you haven't seen the reels).
In which episode FL will got over with that annoying 2nd ML?? I am in episode 4
It's quite gradual. We don't really see her pine for him after ep 4 except for 2 very short moments. Even pining isn't really the right word- it was mostly just a reaction (more like PTSD than yearning TBH)
His intention to pursuit her gets more noticable from ep 9 onwards-the morning after their confrontation at the hospitalized. It's noticable in the way he interacts with his friend and their hints.

A realistic cautionary tale- specially since he didn't chamge into a super villain unlike most cdrama obsessive smls.
Tencent just gave an advanced pass for their subscribers (in exchange for an extra payment)
It was when XG joined the company and they were joking about the terrible food at the cafeteria/ discussed about her weight loss after falling off the balcony.
The VIP and other paid OTT subscribers have to wait till the 11th for it to end (1 per day upload schedule)
Don't they show how Nie involved in his grandchild's life? (Haven't watched the last few eps yet)

PS: the above is based only upto ep 32
