I get what you mean. But they do show just how multifaceted Sol's personality is throughout the series.
We first see Sol's personalitybefore she experienced all that pain in the original timeline through SJ's first impression of her - a kind hearted bubbly girl who is a abit naive but means well. This is still true to a certain extent at least in 2023 as well except that she is no longer naive.
Through 2008 Tae Sung, we got to see Sol's loyalty and naivety again for the ones she loves. While her messages to him were so cringe, for her age it was quite sweet of her. This again is still true in 2023 with her interactions with SJ as an idol, friend, and boyfriend.
The gradual change of 2023 Sol's personality also is shown rather subtly throughout the episodes:
-Between Ep 1 -3/4 we see a hopeful and bubbly Sol who just lost her idol but got a chance to save him. She does cry even in these episodes, but in her mind the situation doesn't really hit her yet since she believes it's suicide due to his unhealthy lifestyle as a celebrity.
Ep 4 onwards once she realizes who he really is to her (i.e. not just an idol but somebody she was supposed to know but forgot/ somebody she was mean to), her personality slowly started to shift to a more dark place gradually .....by the time she figured out why SJ kept dying, it was just too much for her. Especially since she loved him so dearly and also is indebted to him. Her personality lost the bubbly shinyness since she was so desperate. 🥲 (At least that's how i see it)
