I think the slap in Ep 12 was there to really emphasise the evil character of JH's dad. It makes us make sense…
Yes this makes sense. From the moment they introduced JH's backstory, I've been getting King the Land vibes from the family angle- only more sinister. The slap corroborates it since eventhough in both dramas, the ML's father was portrayed in a negative light, you can see their general aura is completely different.
In KTL, while the father was wrong to abandon his wife, you can feel he truly cares about the company and his family, but lost his way - but still quite redeamable. If his character slapped the FL for a similar mistake, it would have been definitely out of character.
But with DK, the father has always been vile. He has no respect at all for people. It's all about the bottomline. The slap is pretty on brand for him specially since in Da Rim's case, she's just a nameless intern.
No? No one thinks this may happen? Not anyone? (Not even me?) 🤣
I can imagine the loan sharks entrance to the flashy wedding - start of with a replica of their "tough guy" entrance - druns and all- only for them to switch to a more comically friendly greeting last moment 🤣🤣🤣
I hated that scene. The gall to say the ML is too handsome and rich for her daughter, after the same mom put all…
It's possible this too could have been an influence? The rich in law family put the sister in so much pressure for the most rediculous things and in the end look how the marriage turned out?
And let's not forget the fact that Da Rim's mum knows that JH's father is an "extra special 💩" compared to even the current pretentious son in law's.
She probably doesn't want DR to go through the inevitable pain- specially since DR has a habit of making herselfi the sacrificial lamb.
She's wrong to say that but I can totally see a mum being extra cautious after going through what they did.
Not sure if it was intentional, but it's almost poetic how the drama used the transparent umbrella today unlike the black umbrella from a few episodes back.
It’s almost as if to say, in ep 9, JH met Da Rim after he found out she had so many lies and secrets hidden from him (i.e. black opaque umbrella) and now in ep 13, they are finally free since Da Rim no longer has to lie to her loved ones (i.e transparent).
I hate to see DaRim quit like that. But it’s clear she has low self esteem. Look how her mom talked about her.…
I really loved how JH used the interview scores to boost Da Rim’s self worth. It felt so personal and perfect for Da Rim. She’s basically a phoenix - reborn from the ashes of her previous non existent career🥲
No? No one thinks this may happen? Not anyone? (Not even me?) 🤣
You forgot to mention about the brother - sister evil duo 🤭 Joint Yu-Gong wedding perhaps? That should make the ohhhh so kind Chairman Gong’s heart burst into song eh?😆
The preview has to be rage bait. They might go for a temporary break while they figure a way to clear the scandal…
Based on the credit sketch from ep 13 (link below if you are interested) it looks like they might resolve it within 1 episode (at least I hope so)🤞
It wouldn’t make sense to drag their breakup it till mid last episode since the final battle is supposed to be between Natural Bebe and TY (getting the father’s blessing isn’t really worth calling a hurdle).
He can't go out to start a company. He needs to stay there and keep low key until his mom got divorced. But you…
Basically everybody knows that the engagement if off except for the Yu elders and JH’s father and SIL (as well as the company).
They can’t confess to the father until they dig up enough evidence that could help JHs’s mum divorce the father while saving her shares to the company. The father is too underhanded and desperate for a connection with HY’s family to be trusted with anything.
Given how nonchalant JH was when they revealed their relationship to Mother TF, perhaps they are at the end stages of finalizing all the evidence? They had way too many PDA moments in ep 13 for a secret couple afterall🙈
NGL I’m excited to see how the mum will confess to HY that she finally understands. They are so chaotic together, so imagine what could happen when they are on the same team🤭
One thing this drama really fumbled is the sister's character, there was so much potential with her but it was…
I agree. Her character was so interesting from the moment they shared her backstory. But after the way reacted over the arson and everything else that followed, she lost her spark. 🫠
There was so much potential to make her role badass even with the crazy brother's storyline but now whatever she does to get rid of him eventually will be too little too late.

I'm really curious to see how JH would react to it.
The old geezer will get "slapped" soon once JH's mum is through with him 😈

Haha I like your theory on SU and the Yu Ladies! 😂 It was only a matter of time before he got to taste another slice of Chaebol life 🙈

Loved the elevator etiquette lesson - the way TY’s eyes bulged??😂
Da Rim’s sister is probably too ashamed to show her face. Plus the loans are still active right even if the loan sharks are no longer an issue?

The mum being swayed is a positive move too - now it’s basically the arrogant fathers vs. the world😂
