Exactly! Ha Yeong alone has so much potential - she just needs to learn how to break free from her own insecurities. The way she keeps latching on to guys who aren’t interested suggests she is craving for the attention her parents refuse to give her. She literally fell for SU because he was so good at working with the kids (and yes because he is good looking). She has passion but is completely suffocated by her parents (and “golden” brother).

I like your suggestion - it makes more sense too since right now things are way too messy to root for them. Since Jun too is part of their equation, SU can’t just settle for HY too as it would be unfair for all 3 of them.

Do you think they will go for a time skip? Part of the story is about DR not being able to get a job,/ unable to pass the civil exam because of her interview related PTSD. So I feel like they have the perfect opportunity to add a proper time skip for this arc so along with this they can connect to SU-HY with a more favorable/ less forceful outcome.

It’s more organic too since she’s supposed to have no corporate experience/ has PTSD but now she is more confidant enough to even handle livestreams and willingly talk to the chairman even if it’s not in a perfect manner. Now she needs to conquer her personal insecurities.

It’s also interesting how in their own way, the mothers are beginning to leave their mark in the company even though they were hired because they were deemed as “failures”. It sends a positive message on giving people a second chance. Pacing their growth together instead of turning DR into an unusually fast learner could be misread by viewers that the writer is undermining the other mothers - can’t risk triggering the k-netz specially when Kdramas lately promote marriage and kids.🙈

I completely agree with you. It was actually quite interesting to see viewers being nice to the SFL for a change. More than the general comments, I guess it just seemed quite unfair how the same people who bash DR for her lack of character development/ being morally grey/ lying even if she didn't do it just for kicks are also the same people that keep praising HY eventhough half her problems would have not happened if she had accepted SU's rejection gracefully since it's clear he has too much baggage to deal with ATM. It has to be a fair assessment.

I do love her perseverance - i hope she uses it to break free from her parents. Nobody deserves the 💩 they put her through. As for SU, I hope if he is end game, they do her justice by not rushing their relationship arc. The actress really brought her character to life ❤️

While there is a possibility that they could end up hooking up depending on the right circumstances, that wasn't her main objective for this particular scene. She keeps forcing her views without giving consideration to the other party’s. In ep 1, she did it to JH. From the moment she met SU, she’s been forcing her feelings on him. She kissed him when she knew he liked DR for instance. It doesn’t matter if DR doesn’t see SU in that way, nobody can forcefully attempt to kiss another person just because they think they can change the other’s mind.

Her relationship with Jun is really sweet but just because Jun likes her, she doesn’t get first dibs on his dad. It’s nice that she is keeping DR’s secret but the only reason why she is doing it is not out of the goodness of her heart but rather because she doesn’t want to loose her hold on SU. And let’s not forget the constant blackmailing.
While I admit I found her tactics humorous - specially since this meant I had to suffer less time of SU being the “Steve” of JH and DR’s moments, in reality you have to admit it’s wrong right? She is literally forcing him to hang out with her.

Her honesty and self assurance may feel refreshing specially since we are on pins and needles waiting for DR to finally tell the truth, but her approach should be toned down.

Her parents are terrible and her brother is slimy and I truly feel bad for her situation but that doesn’t mean her flaws should be ignored either (specially if we are going to hyper fixate on the other 3 leads’ flaws).

Going through the comments, it's interesting how Da Rim is being scruitinized so harshly. But at the same time, Ha Yeong's character is practically whitewashed.

They are both multi-faceted flawed characters which is what makes them interesting. So I am not sure why Da Rim lying to help her family is heavily criticized while Ha Yeong is practically praised like a long suffering saint eventhough she has done (and still is doing) her fair share of questionable things.

Even if you want to talk about character development, HY hasn't had any unusually high character development compared to DR as far as I can see as of ep 8.

Am I missing something?

PS: I'm not saying that HY deserves criticism (she doesn't) but rather it's interesting how unbalanced the comments section is.

I didn't mean that she sees him as an idol. But since she truly has deluded herself into believing he has very little interest in her, she only yearns for him from far. She has the hots for him but she isn't going to put them into action (drunk Da Rim is a different story).

Also i don't know how it is like from where you are from, but a person would have to be seriously horny if they have to pretend to visit a sick person with the intention of pouncing on him (specially when you are supposed to be the sober one). 😅😅😅

WTPR is an excellent cautionary tale of having too much to say but with so little time. The haphazard factor didn't affect me much since I read the final Argon arc out of curiousity weeks prior to the season finale but I can imagine how it might have felt like without the "cheat sheet"🙈.

Since she did everything for her mum, he's definitely going to forgive her (after ragging her abit). Mothers are his weakness. Since he's already met her's, no revenge plan will be strong enough 🙈

I wish if we could get the backstory behind the "henchman" and the sister. He's so loyal but isn't inherently evil. He's pretty much the only person who seems to care about her.
