I’d say a better comparison to the complaint on ep 9 is Hy’s kiss from a few episodes back. She was technically SU’s employer at the time and kissed him practically seconds after he clearly confirmed he liked Da Rim?

DR’s kiss on ep 1 wasn’t with consent (the way JH froze at first!?) either but he accepted her reasoning behind it so I kind of see why people aren’t too hung up about it (it’s not out of desire but to save their charade).

I just assumed it was because he had just left his meeting with Ji Hye so he found it interesting that he technically caught the alleged “mistress” and JH together at the car park🙈

Did he react in a strange way when he saw the photos initially?

I really want to see how they'll react tomorrow once they figure out the new co-habitation situation 🙊

To be fair ep 10's preview clearly showed how Da Rim pushed him away HARD and told him off.

She didn't play the victim or stood still waiting for it to stop. Even if he is her superior/ knows her secret, she didn’t let it stop her. It gives the message “you come first - protect yourself no matter what”.

He's into mergers and acquisitions of companies. Several users predict that his objective is to takeover Natural Bebe by taking advantage of the sister's insecurities.

It's a kdrama then again so anything can happen. The guy clearly looks down on his own parents too so he might be just doing it out of spite.

He's rather webtoon coded so he might be targetting Ji Hye as a side quest because he "misses" her attention now that he is divorced but it's probably mostly because of the opportunity to induce a takeover.

Personally I would rather like to see DR and JH work together at his consulting firm along with Kang. They are a great team together and he knows that she's good at her job (even with the ex, she was able to reel him in when JH couldn't by tempting his girlfriend). Even her submissiveness would be less since right now she still has to face the consequences of her lie.

Ah I see. I get what you mean and honestly knowing JH, he truly would try his best like you said- even if it's challanging.

But from DR's perspective, she's basically troubling him again. Being indebted to him for saving her from the loan sharks and corporate fraud would be too much for DR to accept 🥲

Oooh is the age gap for the characters too? I recall reading that the actress was much older. Don't think I've seen a cdrama that had an older FL🤔

Ep 9-He knows and she knows that he knows.

He explained it to SU before the interview. The company will not care about her reasoning even if he understands why so they will fire her once they find out.

JH can only stall the inevitable, specially since DR's lie violates the company's brand image. It's better for Da Rim to leave while things are safe before corporate gets involved.

I just hope they do a proper arc if HY and SU are end game. Not something stupid like him falling for her relationship with Jun 🙈

He's not the worst SML out there but he needs to accept reality. She literally called him her brother and laughed at the idea of even marrying for tax reasons barely 24hrs before his confession afterall🤦‍♀️

Did you watch ep 9? Even after she told him, she's still getting fired. He can postpone it for abit but it's inevitable. Besides, she doesn't want to be a burden to JH. Dragging him into her lie could backfire on him too.

The fact that DR AND JH both pretty much spelled it out clearly in ep 9😅😅😅

She thinks (rightfully) that he will be getting engaged soon. She literally saw the decorated hall. And let's not forget that "hot" kiss she thought she saw even after it got postponed😅

I seriously love how they wrote him in ep 9. His no nonsense straight forward approach of dealing with everybody was so refreshing.

It could be a plot device? The story is very cliche afterall. The FL moping over the ML is an exhausted plot device but what’s quite fresh is seeing how the ML deals with the temptation of forbidden love while struggling with a similar trauma. It’s interesting and there’s scope to make it as intense as possible so the writer probably chose this angle?
I mean it did work right? Everybody feels bad for JH🙈

That being said, I do wish if the writer did give more room for DR’s perspective since they decided to make JH’s so intense. While DR’s reaction makes sense, given how visceral JH’s torture was, they could have anticipated that some fans might turn on Da Rim?

Ji Heuk is smart. He knows that Da Rim didn't lie to him because she enjoyed torturing him. He knows her situation all too well thanks to their previous heart to heart on her family's condition. The moment he realized the truth behind WHY she ditched him and why she lied to everybody, he had no reason to hate her. HY's pep talk helped him too.

I'm glad she didn't cave into her parents pressure either! It would have been so daunting to do it up front- even the finger wrestling 🤭🤭🤭
