Haha yes! Thatās how JK kind of cemented in my me memory. Iāve previously watched MRIAGumiho and Go Back couple but for some inexplicable reason, didnāt realize it was the same actor. The viral runway shortsā timing was perfect since almost right after LR ended, Atypical Family began so my SNS kind of got bombarded for weeks with their joint content - even if it was few. Thereās one in particular where the 2 have a rather cheeky interaction involving JKās shirt . Quite mind bending since we normally only see the expressionless/ almost otherworldly(?) side of models so you tend to forget they can be goofy people.
I actually think heās there to make a play on their company. They emphasized him doing takeovers of big companies…
This does make sense honestly. It also would explain why he is willing to sabotage his sisterās betrothal to JH since JH is quite shrewd when it comes to business. Bringing up the potential scandal between JH and DR could help him too later since they can force Natural Bebeās share value to dropš¤

It does look quite similar isnāt it? Should probably have a look again š
If it makes you feel better - there is a little bit of a fun connection with Da Rimās house. Both Sunjaeās and JHās in laws live in that house. And in real life BWS and JK were close work friends at one point at least. DK is basically this yearās LR for me so far so it kind of feels almost meant to beš¤
Rewatching ep 7, it really makes me wander what HYās brotherās end game is. The fact that they focused on him drinking from Ji Hyeās coffee cup when she wasn't looking (he had his own cup with him too mind you) implies that he was sincere when he said that she was one of the reasons he came backā¦.but why? Heās creepy and shrewd. Quite unpredictable.
Are they planning to add ātoxic dark romanceā to the mix too?š¤

Haha ikr??? If you think about it, it's almost like visiting your relative's place every year for the last 3 years (I watched CD while it was airing back in 2023) š
Edit: i checked, apparently it's not the same as CD. Close enough I guess š

Perhaps Cast away used the same house? I googled it and apparently it is Sol's house. From the wide angled side shot on the outside it looks the same at least
I'm not even watching this yet but I can already guess the kinds of comments because this site hates female leads.…
You aren't wrong. Interestingly enough though, the SFL in this case has received a lot of sympathy for a change. Like her character seems to be whitewashed.
Don't get me wrong, I like how the actress portrays her and she has her good moments but her choices to date don't really make her a victim of the ML or the SML the way some make it out to be. I mean if the FL's morally grey choices are criticised, the SFL's choices shouldn't be ignored either (specially since unlike with the FL, the SFL isn't pushed into a corner)š

Haha hang in there!
Pre-release is kind of like a sneakpeek of the episode. They (TVN/ SBS/ MBC/ other stations) usually share it via their SNS a day before the episode release date.

Seriously? Wasnāt part of the reason why some were unhappy about Da Rim because āshe wasnāt showing much emotionā? š Now itās too much?š
Itās like the curse of K-roms at this point. The FL canāt ever catch a breakš„²
i haven't come to the comment section ever since, because i already knew exactly what would be going on here.…
Honestly even the fact that she visited JH while he was sick can be explained based on what they showed in ep 1. Da Rim cannot ignore those in need. Even when she was late for her lecture, she took the time to silently help somebody pick up her stuff. She even took time to help a visually impaired stranger cross the road. Even while arguing with JH for insulting her in ep 1, she still paused mid argument to help a mother pick her fruit. The main reason how SU and DR became best friends was because she protected him from bullies as a kid.
If this is how Da Rim is with strangers, obviously she is going to feel grateful and indebted to JH for getting sick because of her. Should she have been more cautious? Yes. But the worst you can accuse her of is not reading the situation. Thereās no need of demonizing her for it. She didnāt go there to seduce him. She really did have innocent intentions.š

Sadly it wouldnāt be a kdrama without somebody beating you to the punchline š
On the bright side this debate will finally be over next week since Da Rim will have to explain herself. JH has been low key breaking the fourth wall by even mentioning how Da Rim is way too accident prone so perhaps theyāll make him ask the question weāve all be discussing?š

Exactly. Honestly the real villain of the story is life (as well as the pretentious brother in law and irresponsible sister).
Both are in impossible circumstances. If JH didnāt have to adhere to his contract, he would have left the company and if Da Rimās family matters werenāt so dire, she would have quit when he initially asked her to (even if her future employment prospects were bleak).
As a fellow leftie who was conditioned to eat with her right hand, this movie was rather relatable- specially the grandfatherās horrified gasps every time he caught I Jung eating with her left hand.š
Watching life through I-Jungās eyes adds an innocent touch to the gritty life her family had to live. Itās easy to judge them when you are behind the screen but this is reality for others. I personally loved how they seamlessly raised topics such as patriarchy and how women are treated even by their own family but how even in the darkest of places you can still find joy if you break free from the chains made by society..

Also, did you notice? Da Rim's house is the same one they used as Sol'sš
I wonder if anything will happen here that will force JH to break out of his "domineering supervisor" persona like in BPš
