I think it's mostly the fact that Seon U goes overboard only when JH is around and it's for the wrong reasons. It's almost like how a dog pees to mark its territory? You can see even Da Rim feels awkward at times when he gets "too husbandly"🙈

It could be said that Seon U doesn't know about Jeju so he has no reason to worry that Da Rim would find some of his actions stressful and only sees JH as a pesky/ sleezy opponent. But then again, she didn't really ask him to get too immersed with his role.
I mean couples aren't usually lovey dovey in their partner's workplace- specially in front of their supervisor😅

TPOB is good if you like enemies to lovers/ contract marriage thropes in a historical setting (no fantasy) :)

The story's main focus is on the MC so I personally didn't find it boring. They didn't spend too much time on the "happily ever after" filler arc that usually makes cdramas feel dragged so that's a plus point.

He was in Ao Haru Ride? The recent remake?😮 I watched both seasons when they were released- didn't recognize him until I saw your comment now! His character was the gingerish bestie right? He really is a chameleon seeing as 25:00hr S1 and AHR S2 were released around the same time months apart at most but it neveroccured to me they were the same😮🙈

NT is definitely rising. I mean with JActors you don't always get to see the same faces frequently unless they have been popular for years so there's definitely potential. I didn't realize he was in Eternal Yesterday too (I might have not come across his character though since I kind of put EY on hold after I spoiled the ending)🙈

Bit 5's loyalty is definitely being tested. I'm still unsure if Boss K is just obsessively good or a heart broken mad scientist 🙈

It's either choosing between machine translations (i.e. ruin the drama's ambiance) or go on a treasure hunt for fan subs. I feel like I've been watching Anpan (Ichimatsu from Espers is in it) since the beginning of this year since it's an Asadora. The translation is brilliant but have to pace myself to keep in time with the sub uploads (I'm too greedy for more 😅).

Exactly!!! They already kind of irritated me with the slip up with Seon U (i seriously hoped there wouldn't be any unnecessary triangles). It was only salvaged by Da Rim being so clueless about his feelings. You almost feel sorry for him after ep 6 🤣🤣🤣

You are so right. It doesn't make sense in an ideal world for him to be so smitten but after they subtly showed his relationship with his mum, it kind of made sense. He loves easily and deeply but because of his childhood trauma, he's cautious 🙈

It was in the scene with the flashbacks of her dad. Right before she applied, she felt guilty for lying- can you recall this in ep 2 I believe? In it there was a scene where she was wearing a similar uniform. If it wasn't from this scene, then it should be from one of Seon U's childhood flashbacks.

But honestly i don't think they'll go for a childhood connection- at least nothing mindblowing. It would be overkill since Seon U already fills that thrope 🙈

Logically it doesn't even really make sense how they would end up in the same dojo(?) given their vastly different financial backgrounds. They might have competed in similar competitions at most but not competed with eachother - but I hope they don't go for this.


I just took the Taikwondo link as the writer's way of portraying how both of them are willing to fight and protect their loved ones since the objective was similar🙈

Da Rim will be paying the loan back. She justified it by seeing it as the least dangerous/ most realistic option at the time (instead of love). It’s fun seeing one ML magically having the ability to send 5 or so loan sharks flying in the air but the Black Card is honestly the best option. She still can pay back without risking her neck.

With getting his help, based on ep 6, it sounds like Da Rim truly doesn’t feel she is worthy of his attention. In her own eyes she’s a fraud who is trying to take advantage of her kind supervisor. She probably doesn’t want to put him in more trouble by telling him the truth since he is unpredictable? Worst case scenario, he fires her. Best case (or rather way worse in her POV now), he continues her lie out of kindness and sympathy for her mother, thereby dragging himself into her issues yet again (since what she did was fraud essentially though I don’t really know how strict Korean corporate rules are).

I could be wrong though. What do you think?

I think it’s the way his desperation is shown? He’s inherently a nice guy BUT he knows (or rather senses) that JH is a threat to his current life with Da Rim. So far things have been going great with their pseudo family (even before THE LIE they’ve been playing “family” unconsciously). His desperation has already forced him to lie to Da Rim several times when it comes to the SFL. Once he realizes that Da Rim likes JH back, he is bound to do something stupid like force Da Rim to see the reality of her’s and JH potential to have a relationship.

BFY might be something you’d be into and each episode is only 15mins so it finishes pretty quickly!

I would say the youth aspect of BFY that’s greater than in LR is the exam side since the past events revolve around their senior year, barely 80 days or so before the Gaokao Exams. Unlike in LR, the ML in this has to take part in exams and other school activities so the FL kind of notices how his shy reserved side performs really well but her “friend” usually bombs exams (let’s face it, can we even recall anything from back then?😂). To explain this, the ML pretends to be secretly bipolar. YES - basically once the future ML leaves his”body”, his other younger past version takes over again with no memories - since the young ML is super shy when he is around his first love, he tends to come off as moody to the young FL at first - on the bright side, unlike poor Sunjae, the FL doesn’t get accused of being a pervert by the younger ML- though he does keep wondering why she is clingy at times 🙈


DK is the best atm - it’s almost scary how invested I am on it🙈

Perhaps it’s like with Ichikatsu? He’s actually much older in 2055 (despite what the hologram shows)? Perhaps it’s 2055’s versions of Shiki and him that actually “die”? But it’s still confusing since doomsday is in 10 years and not 20 years…..unless it was Shiki who will die in the future, causing Kizashi to turn into a “mad scientist” with the intention of rewriting history so that he can save her, even if it meant sacrificing 10mn lives??

I finally had a chance to watch this week’s episode ….damn! Scion is hilarious - he really embodies a cheeky teen really well 😂 It’s hard to believe it’s the same actor who had a career defying existential crisis just few weeks ago🙈

IKR?! It’s pretty rare to have back 2 back episodes of the same actor - specially when it comes to Jdramas. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts 🤭

Haha TBH I kind of got catfished into watching Before You Came. I didn’t know there were 2 released under the same name in 2025 and on Kiss, “Back For You - Revers…” indicated 16 episodes were available so I thought THIS was WAU’s drama….but it wasn’t 🙈
It’s good though! Imagine a Cdrama version of Lovely Runner? It’s obviously not the same but it has its own charm. You will probably enjoy it if you like C Youth dramas (and it’s fun trying to guess what happened).

MR - Ahhh! This was on my watchlist but for some reason I can’t bring myself to watch it despite the fact that I like the MC cast. 🙈 I have watched one drama with the SFL (Lovestruck in the City) but her character was kind of meh compared to the MC so I don’t really recall much about her acting 😅


DK honestly salvaged my pointless Kdrama drought this year - I honestly can’t really recall obsessively enjoying even one this year (I did like Tangerines, OUS, 9 Puzzles, Heavenly Ever After, and a few others but they aren’t something you can really rewatch back 2 back).
