Oh yes! That’s true. The way he seamlessly interacted with the kids must have taken her by surprise too (specially since she didn’t know at the time that he was a father himself).

If it helps, she fell for the self made confident consultant fairy godfather she met at Jeju (since JH has no intension of leaving his own company). 🙈

Seeing as JH loathes his dad and the company that destroyed his mum's sanity, he'll probably leave it eventually (unless the sister royally screws up forcing him to actually take an interest).

The SML doesn't love her in that sense. It's already explained that he owes alot to the Gos - specially Da Rim and her mum who took care of him since he was akid and later even cared for Jun. Da Rim's mum is like his own mum which is why he's even willing to work with the SFL.

His overacting- Da Rim had previously complained how domineering her team leader was. Seeing how JH was unusually possessive and aggressive for a co-worker after the loan shark encounter may have made the SML give JH a warning that Da Rim is not defenceless and vulnerable enough for him to do whatever he wants. It's a protective strategy.

(Afterall the SML doesn't know about Jeju nor why exactly JH was behaving so domineeringly- he must have just assumed that JH was being borderline sleezy).

Also since it's pretty much confirmed that the SML will be partnered with the SFL, making him both still frustrated by Jun's mum (his reaction to the photograph) and in love with Da Rim would make things too complicated. It's too much angst for one character.

Now that he knows her financial situation and met her mum, I don't think he will ask her to leave. He'll probably still be petty but with job security🙈

I love how the SFL keeps pushing the SML's limits. We know he's a kind caring guy seeing as he is willing to do so much for the Gos. But at the same time it's clear he's holding himself back. The SFL will probably make life more fun - beyond being an awesome dad and friend.

The fact that her mum was probably a single working mum too- where's her empathy? 🥲

The story makes more sense when you look at it through both their individual perspectives instead of in the eyes of the audience.

Her family circumstances forced Da Rim to do many uncharacteristic things. That's why we got the montage of her trying to fight the temptation to send the application along with the memory of her father telling how proud he is of her for being a good person. It's also the reason why after JH told her that he didn't feel comfortable having a lying manipulative person in his team, she initally planned to resign. But at the end of the day she would do anything to protect her mother and home. She cannot depend on her flakey sister nor can she risk losing her mum since she almost died because of her stroke.

She is childish because JH refuses to listen to her half baked excuses (she cannot tell the truth just yet since she still has no reason to trust the guy who has been actively trying to get her fired). She took the rediculous tasks he challenged her with because she needed to prove to him just how determined she is.

He's the chairman's son so logically the interns are too afraid to complain since it can backfire (a very REALISTIC approach). Involving HR could backfire at the moment so trying to reason with him is safer (specially since she knows that beyond his justifyable rage, he might not be thaaaaat bad like he was in Jeju).

Going to the pool to see your supervisor- true it's not the proper ethiquet BUT this guy has been missing for days now and based on the sister's snide comment later about the project, looks like they did have some kind of deadline for it so it's kind of understandable why she might have gone to the pool. Besides it's a kdrama thrope so not really that surprising if you have watched enough arrogant/ privileged CEO plots.

It was just an excuse to fire her since he thought she would fail almost immediately due to her lack of experience (and let's face it, most mothers do not have the luxury to leave their 6 year old unattendend for 5 days straight). Even Da Rim called him out for how unfair it was. But again, because he is the chairman's son and she needs the job, she can't reallly complain.

Chemistry- seeing how most of MDL and my SNS has been invaded by Dynamic Kiss reels since last week, this seems to be just a difference in taste as most love their chemistry.

SFL's family owns an art gallery. She wants to do something different by showcasing a photo exhibition. The SML is a renowned photographer who used to have exhibits but has retired from the scene for years and only focuses on his baby studio now.


Since the SFL loves his work, she initially found him to get him to collaborate with her but now she has a crush on him since she fell for the way he loves his work (+ because he's good looking).

But he didn’t pursuit her after he found out the truth…. He cannot quit his role since his father agreed to divorce his mother if he worked at the company. Da Rim too cannot leave the internship since she is desperate. So they have to work together.

He did avoid her for as long as possible to the point of even taking extended leave so he can sort his feelings. As of episode 4, he even agreed to forget about Jeju. What more do you want him to do?

About the loan transfer, only a cruel cold hearted person would have turned a blind eye when it was obvious she was mortally in danger. The loan sharks were stalking and threatening to harm her even after she made a complaint to the police. Since he has the means and the power to help her, obviously he would help her out. And it’s not like he is waiving off her debt - she still has to pay it back to him.

Also I noticed that you didn’t answer my original question. Were you personally able to 100% shut down your feelings for somebody you used to love that may have hurt you? Didn’t it take time for you to move on completely? I am not referring to a hypothetical question where the other party is married but an actual real life scenario since you seem to be adamant that feelings can be stopped instantly if one wants to. Feelings can't be stopped instantly. The morality of it comes from your actions- as long as you do not pursuit those feelings and cross the line and instead try to stop them, it should be understandable (i
e. what JH has been trying to do as of ep 4).

Ikr?! I seriously feel for Da Rim's situation. One minute you are trying to make the most out of your exile that's disguised as a holiday and the next minute you are practically hurled onto a pedestal as the family's only breadwinner/ savior (not to mention being painted as an adultress by the guy who you considered as your lucky charm) 🥲

Woah talk about a journey!!! It almost sounds serendipitous! 🤭 I love slice of life Jdramas (or even healing Kdramas like Summer Strike) for the same reason as your’s with AM - there’s just something peaceful await from the fast paced concrete jungle even if it’s just in drama format.

My kdrama journey isn’t actually thaaaat long (probably even less than yours!) seeing as I was on erm hiatus(?) for majority of it thanks to endless k-traumas. I kind of got back into the Kdrama cycle after Nevertherless (coincidentally my brother got Netflix a few years back and this was the first drama suggestion) and then got completely hooked (and traumatized) by 2521…and here we are now😌

I absolutely love Kwak Dong Yeon! He was the second reason why I managed to complete QOT (aside from KJW).🙈 I didn’t know that he has been active for so long until you mentioned him now!

DFF was fun at the time it was airing since it was a Thai genre I wasn't familiar with and there were 0 spoilers. It's a bit like Khemjira but more cult horror/ revenge type- kind of like "I know what you did last summer " or the Final Destination franchise with a revenge twist( if you are familiar with these english movies). There is no rewatch value for me personally since the best thing about it is not knowing what was going on. The acting is average since most were newcomers (in fact one character's choice of acting kind of gaslit me into thinking he was the killer majority of the time🤣)


I used to be a lurker too before officially joining.🙈 I accidentally stumbled across MDL. Prior to it, I didn't know how "active" fans can be about a drama or artist🙈🙈🙈
MDL really is a good distraction from reality as long as you don't let it consume you🙈

I tried to watch it, but it just got too complicated for me after the ML started to date the other girl and they ended up reuniting at her hometown. You are totally right about the characterisation! They should have given him more flaws to balance the FL (specially considering the actor was already linked to another major green flag so it makes him seem even more vulnerable).🙈

She’s too busy for romance unfortunately. I think the only other clue we got was when she sadly looking at her chipped nail art? I can’t recall the episode number but it was the scene where Da Rim finally realizes she ditched him and thought how he probably thought that she’s a weirdo.

My first one was a locally dubbed version of Full House nearly 17 years back- safe to say I was so obsessed with it since it was probably my first enemies to lovers/ contract marriage/ mistaken identity thrope (probably why I’m still obsessed with the genre😂) but then a few years later the channel kept releasing BOF type of dramas or worse dramas that end in cancer/ sad endings for no reason that just made me quit Kdramas completely for almost a decade😅.

Haha close but it was actually because of a Thai BL called DFF (Dead Friend Forever) that was released a few months before LR- it's a psychological murder revenge thriller kind of drama. The theories behind the villain were so outrageous and interesting, I just couldn't resist the temptation to join 🙈🤣
