What bad thing do you think HY has done that makes her comparable to the 3 other leads?
She keeps forcing her views without giving consideration to the other party’s. In ep 1, she did it to JH. From the moment she met SU, she’s been forcing her feelings on him. She kissed him when she knew he liked DR for instance. It doesn’t matter if DR doesn’t see SU in that way, nobody can forcefully attempt to kiss another person just because they think they can change the other’s mind.
Her relationship with Jun is really sweet but just because Jun likes her, she doesn’t get first dibs on his dad. It’s nice that she is keeping DR’s secret but the only reason why she is doing it is not out of the goodness of her heart but rather because she doesn’t want to loose her hold on SU. And let’s not forget the constant blackmailing. While I admit I found her tactics humorous - specially since this meant I had to suffer less time of SU being the “Steve” of JH and DR’s moments, in reality you have to admit it’s wrong right? She is literally forcing him to hang out with her.
Her honesty and self assurance may feel refreshing specially since we are on pins and needles waiting for DR to finally tell the truth, but her approach should be toned down.
Her parents are terrible and her brother is slimy and I truly feel bad for her situation but that doesn’t mean her flaws should be ignored either (specially if we are going to hyper fixate on the other 3 leads’ flaws).
Going through the comments, it's interesting how Da Rim is being scruitinized so harshly. But at the same time, Ha Yeong's character is practically whitewashed.
They are both multi-faceted flawed characters which is what makes them interesting. So I am not sure why Da Rim lying to help her family is heavily criticized while Ha Yeong is practically praised like a long suffering saint eventhough she has done (and still is doing) her fair share of questionable things.
Even if you want to talk about character development, HY hasn't had any unusually high character development compared to DR as far as I can see as of ep 8.
Am I missing something?
PS: I'm not saying that HY deserves criticism (she doesn't) but rather it's interesting how unbalanced the comments section is.
Honestly even the fact that she visited JH while he was sick can be explained based on what they showed in ep…
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I didn't mean that she sees him as an idol. But since she truly has deluded herself into believing he has very little interest in her, she only yearns for him from far. She has the hots for him but she isn't going to put them into action (drunk Da Rim is a different story).
Also i don't know how it is like from where you are from, but a person would have to be seriously horny if they have to pretend to visit a sick person with the intention of pouncing on him (specially when you are supposed to be the sober one). 😅😅😅
He is a slimy POS. My bet is on him wishing to takeover Natural Bebe. And the quickest way to achieve that is…
True! TY is mostly just possessive at best (makes sense given how HY is with SU at times only she's nice). I think we've disected the brother so much, it's bordering towards fan fiction now 🤣
I hope his addition makes a positive impact though. The uncertainty behind his character makes things interesting- it's almost like having a tug a war with my rational side vs. my kdrama/ watpad coded delulu side. If you get what I mean?🙈🤣
WTPR is an excellent cautionary tale of having too much to say but with so little time. The haphazard factor didn't affect me much since I read the final Argon arc out of curiousity weeks prior to the season finale but I can imagine how it might have felt like without the "cheat sheet"🙈.
My thoughts on ep 9 preview. Personally I'm quite surprised where it's going. In fact I'm starting to suspect…
Since she did everything for her mum, he's definitely going to forgive her (after ragging her abit). Mothers are his weakness. Since he's already met her's, no revenge plan will be strong enough 🙈
The beautiful main couples would not be so attractive were it not for the other great elements of this comedy.MY…
I wish if we could get the backstory behind the "henchman" and the sister. He's so loyal but isn't inherently evil. He's pretty much the only person who seems to care about her.
Honestly even the fact that she visited JH while he was sick can be explained based on what they showed in ep…
Two things can be true at the same time- she is only human afterall 😉
She has an "unrequited crush" on him in her pov so of course she'd take the opportunity to "see" him (the way one would try to see their idol/ fav celebrity from a distance) but at the same time she would have genuine intentions for his wellbeing too since he did get sick because of her (specially since at this point she thought he was single).
He is a slimy POS. My bet is on him wishing to takeover Natural Bebe. And the quickest way to achieve that is…
Yes!!! There's this unmistakable sly look on his face.
But isn't it funny? Almost this time last year, fans were cooing and ahhing when the ML from WTPR secretly drank from his "hostage" wife's glass but here the same guesture almost feels ominous? Specially considering the fact that both men were rather hateful in their own way🙊
Thank you! I had been searching for this to no avail.P. S.: I love it when Ji Hyeok is petty. 🤣 Not him channelling…
Haha yes! That’s how JK kind of cemented in my me memory. I’ve previously watched MRIAGumiho and Go Back couple but for some inexplicable reason, didn’t realize it was the same actor. The viral runway shorts’ timing was perfect since almost right after LR ended, Atypical Family began so my SNS kind of got bombarded for weeks with their joint content - even if it was few. There’s one in particular where the 2 have a rather cheeky interaction involving JK’s shirt . Quite mind bending since we normally only see the expressionless/ almost otherworldly(?) side of models so you tend to forget they can be goofy people.
I actually think he’s there to make a play on their company. They emphasized him doing takeovers of big companies…
This does make sense honestly. It also would explain why he is willing to sabotage his sister’s betrothal to JH since JH is quite shrewd when it comes to business. Bringing up the potential scandal between JH and DR could help him too later since they can force Natural Bebe’s share value to drop🤔

It does look quite similar isn’t it? Should probably have a look again 🙈
If it makes you feel better - there is a little bit of a fun connection with Da Rim’s house. Both Sunjae’s and JH’s in laws live in that house. And in real life BWS and JK were close work friends at one point at least. DK is basically this year’s LR for me so far so it kind of feels almost meant to be🤭
Rewatching ep 7, it really makes me wander what HY’s brother’s end game is. The fact that they focused on him drinking from Ji Hye’s coffee cup when she wasn't looking (he had his own cup with him too mind you) implies that he was sincere when he said that she was one of the reasons he came back….but why? He’s creepy and shrewd. Quite unpredictable.
Are they planning to add “toxic dark romance” to the mix too?🤔
Thank you! I had been searching for this to no avail.P. S.: I love it when Ji Hyeok is petty. 🤣 Not him channelling…
Haha ikr??? If you think about it, it's almost like visiting your relative's place every year for the last 3 years (I watched CD while it was airing back in 2023) 🙈
Edit: i checked, apparently it's not the same as CD. Close enough I guess 🙈

Perhaps Cast away used the same house? I googled it and apparently it is Sol's house. From the wide angled side shot on the outside it looks the same at least
I'm not even watching this yet but I can already guess the kinds of comments because this site hates female leads.…
You aren't wrong. Interestingly enough though, the SFL in this case has received a lot of sympathy for a change. Like her character seems to be whitewashed.
Don't get me wrong, I like how the actress portrays her and she has her good moments but her choices to date don't really make her a victim of the ML or the SML the way some make it out to be. I mean if the FL's morally grey choices are criticised, the SFL's choices shouldn't be ignored either (specially since unlike with the FL, the SFL isn't pushed into a corner)😅

Haha tell me about it- screenwriters need to be more flexible🙈
Gosh between korean to chinese to english translated novels and machine subbed Jdramas, IDK which is worse honestly 🙈🤣

Also, did you notice? Da Rim's house is the same one they used as Sol's🙊
I wonder if anything will happen here that will force JH to break out of his "domineering supervisor" persona like in BP🙈
