oh yes I was thinking XY and CX divorce would be a separation between them not that they would ever get married. but yes your fear about XY and XL killing each other is very possible I hadn't fully thought it out to that point yet and that does make so much sense. I want more and I am scared for the end 😬😬

I just finished the show and I'm as hopeful and worried as you about Xiang Liu and greatly appreciating his portrayal as well as Xiao Yao one thing that I've been wondering is if she is destined to repeat her mother's fate, in love with a demon (Xiang Liu) but only after a divorce from someone she viewed as a partner (Cang Xuan). I imagine that will be made clear in season 2 when we enter that story line.
Just the ending was a bit weird with the 2FL discovering the tape. Is she trying to use this against Xing?. But…
I feel like it would have been good if they showed the sister deleting the video. that would have felt like she has actually grown and would likely keep her brother in check going forward, giving the viewers more confidence. because otherwise the only negative for the sister is that she didn't get the guy she liked. clearly he wasn't at risk of posting it because it would have already happened. so they just added stress with the ending. but overall I still enjoyed it.
I probably won't be watching this, but I want to know what the plot twist is (please put in under spoiler tag)…
the twist was that the students mother was "the other woman" in her parents marriage. so it turned out she was flirting with the student to piss his mom off to get back at the mom for "ruining" her own parents marriage.
the plot fell apart in the last two episodes (in my opinion). they gave us two long monologues where characters just explain what happened because the plot became so complicated at some points and they purposefully withheld details to keep us in suspense. so much so that the director couldn't trust the viewer would know what happened without long winded explanations. needless to say you won't be left with questions.
I don't know if you meant a jdrama with the same genre as this or just generally a drama as good as this.but maybe…
thank you so much!! definitely doesn't need to be same genre. my favorite romance jdramas have actually all been bls. this one just finally matched the vibes by having a cute storyline and great cinematography. I'll watch all the ones you recommended!!
there has to be a better list of recommended dramas out there than these ones? anyone have a recommendation of a jdrama out there that was as good as this? (I specifically say jdrama because I have watched or know of a lot of cdramas and kdramas already)
