I am watching kdrama since 2009 and they are alwaysss like that ! the fact that two man compete for a woman is possible bcs mans are competitive to get the female . it’s like a game to them … they fight to win for their ego ! that’s why rom coms have mostly love triangle bcs it always triger men more to take actions and not be passive …. that’s how world works too but in real life , not everybody get the chance to be crush of 2 good looking man at the same time !
