I don't think they are supposed to turn out being siblings cause it won't be a drama about a taboo romance or forbidden realtionship but only suspicious about male being the real hongrang for coming back after a long time absence, maybe just a speculation...

yes I had read through the episodes guide that male was confronting second male lead and felt the vibes like a battle is going on to happen between them!! I think giving such character of first male, no wonder he will be burning jealousy over female to warn him hanging out around her

it is not meant for first male to be a chaebol always to make his character so attractive to watch the drama for him

so good to hear that you nam joo hyuk, he really played so good in his bantering relationship with lee sung kyung, I liked so much their captivating chemistry... they were in relationship in real life I had read but broke up after that maybe at the same year this drama aired

park ji hoon in at a distance spring is green was so wonderful in playing how he was smiling in front of his friends while he was torn up from a trumatic past carrying a deep pain due to his toxic and evil parents,
the progression of his relationship with female is so good and romance there is so firing
even park ji hoon was so amazing in weak hero and was unexpectedly so great drama in both of seasons with an impressive friendship and the fighting scenes were so greatly in portraying it realistically

yes this has not to be a masterpiece to please anybody, it can be so simple love story in an ordinary college life drama so it is acceptable to watch it

people in their natures will find a silly situations like that to start badly criticizing and attacking a drama so brainlessly and not so weird to see something like that

I am planning to watch dear hongrang, it will air on friday at once so different in not being tormenting with weekly waiting unlike the usual slot of korean dramas airing, they are saying it is a promising drama and a lot are excited to watch it, but anyway I will judge it when I will be done watching it

from comments I can see this drama didn't brought so much expectations and turned out to be average for a lot of people and some said that they will drop it for better shows currently aired but anyway drama is about preferences and always opinions are different so I don't judge a drama based on general comments cause I had watched dramas when it pleased me but was lowly rated on mdl

I think as a college life drama, love triangle is a lot seen and no wonder to make male possessive about female when wanting her so badly and proving that nothing will happen when his ex comes back who is there to rekindle her relationship with male but I think female will trust him and will end up with him as you said

they shouldn't make a lot of misunderstandings and problems neither making the relationship of leads being more complicated with the reappearance of his ex

so there is a background story behind people calling him "toxic", so when his mother is giving him a hard time no wonder he won't be going smoothly with his surroundings!!!

I was reading the summarize of some episodes of crushology in episodes guide section in the drama page and they mentioned about him having an ex girlfriend but I don't think he will leave female for his ex who abandoned him cause when second male lead is his rival so he should keeping doing his best for not losing female, even from comments I had read that female is in a platonic friendship with second male lead so romantically only interested in first male lead most probably...

they are calling the drama a "cliche", maybe for that fact of love triangle that a lot of watchers don't like to include it in any dramas
