It didn't show whether he committed the mistake or not. It only showed him saying he didn't do it, that he didn't cause an error, then the referee said something along the line such behavior wasn't allowed.

why exactly did LYY stop playing? I’m kind of confused on that
He had a disagreement with a referee during a game and got suspended for 6 months. His coach/master demanded that he apologize to the referee which he refused so he got kicked out and disowned by the master. Due to his strong personality, on principle term he vowed to retire from the game than to bend to someone's authority.

I haven’t seen anything on Twitter either. I’m trying to figure it out so I know whether to keep having fun…
I think Fast Track is also very likely. This one is a really amazing watch. =)

His anger has settled and if my memory serves me correctly, I believe YG asked him whether he's finally let it go, and he said yes. If we were to take your assumption of 4-5 years, by then, he has chosen a new path/life and that was to pursue an education, and even went as far as applying for a Phd program. He lost his direction in life after leaving the pool club at 16. Up until now, his compass still has no needle because he was still not sure what he wanted in life. Now that she has appeared in his life, it forces him to seriously reflect on what is it he truly wants.

i love this drama 😍😍 but i am having this constant thought in my mind ...i can understand that lin yiyang…
He loves the game. He just doesn't like the rules. He was young and proud, and his stubbornness couldn't let his pride bow down and take a step back. He was 16 then this happened. But also, his master/coach was almost like a father figure to him, and being "disowned" was almost like being betrayed by his most trusted person at that point. Obviously, he has a lot of baggage and emotional issue regarding this. But we can see that he has matured over the past 11 years and has been very calm and level headed now. We've seen how he's dealt with LQY and when player(s) challenged him to a game, and careful not to snub people too harshly. I think he's grown up rather nicely.

Their time together is very limited.
My thought exactly as well. He figured that given the short time constrained, he better solidified their relationship before she returned to China with her at risk of having second thoughts over miscommunications and lack of commitment. So he had to show her his most earnest and most sincere self. LYY is extremely strategic. He knows she's the one and will not leave the slightest chance to screw it up.

They went to France for the island shooting in EP14. Cool.
They landed in Annecy, France and headed to Leschaux, France in the French Alps, specifically at a peak marked by Chalet Nordique du Plateau. It's about a 40 minutes drive. The bridge where they placed the lock is Pont Des Amours at Annecy Lake. The links are in the Discussion thread.

"You lost your chance." I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about the game there!! 😂
Oh yeah, LYY is a master of subtlety. 😉

so swoony. I don’t know why but the fact that he says it while he’s a little drunk. eeep!!! and to be more…
HOT!!! Call me neanderthal or backward, I don't care. But it's so damn HOT HOT HOT when a capable male stakes his claim on a woman who also feels strongly for him as well. He's implying she's his life mate, not just a girlfriend. It's someone you would spend the rest of your life with status.

If l was LQY and LYY beat me drunk l would quit billiards and never show my face in public ever again.
LYY sees LQY has potential. LQY needs to learn how to hone it and that's why LYY gave words of encouragement to "be himself" and do his own things instead of following MXD's method of playing. And don't forget, LYY is supposed to this super genius ,over the top, out of this world god status player.

Yes he did say that after he beat him in snooker, even when he was quite drunk.
Chinese may not be top rankings in snooker in the real world, but they truly are for female 9-ball game. Back in the days, there was no Asian that I remember. The only Asian in the 8-ball and 9-ball games were an Asian American with the moniker Black Widow on the scene. It took almost a decade before another Asian, a young South Korean, to win the championship. In the past few years, maybe even up to 10 years, it's been mostly Chinese in the top rank for female 9-balls.
