I have a feeling there was some restrictions to the director that allowed him 24 ep max. Since he is known for…
There are just so many reasons why it ended the way it did. We can speculate all day long. So far, it seems like every single decisions Guo Jing Ming made always created a buzz whether it's good or bad. But a smart business/marketing person knows talk of any kind is good attention. That aside, his 1 hour long 24 episodes is equivalent to 36 episodes of 45 min which most cdrama episodes are set at. So ,it's actually pretty decent content overall. I wish there's a season 2, too.
i read that this drama was supposed to have 2 seasons, but with the way they treated shuxin and linghe we fans…
There is no official announcement about season 2. There's also no mistreatment from what I've seen as I watched the drama from beginning to ending. There are multiple important players in the story including 4 main leads from what I can see. Sometimes, in order for the story to be dynamic and engaging, not all screen times must be allocated to ShuXin and LingHe. It's a great drama, and honestly, if ShuXin and LingHe are wise, it's better for them to be working in a great and well executed drama enjoyed by most people than to be on screen 100% of the time but with a poorly directed/written drama that flops. ShuXin and LingLe did so well in MJTY that they have gained new fans. Other actors/actresses also did a wonderful job and they too have garnered admirations from viewers and are highly praised in this forum. It's a win-win-win.
If Fuâs family current wealth is largely due to Fu YuShenâs mother bringing the wealth over when she married into the family, then I would understand why sheâs so worried about her stepson taking over the family business. If the money is from her family, then it makes sense for her to leave the legacy to her son instead of her stepson, especially when she isnât even on good term with Fu Xi Zhou. This should have been written clearly in a pre-nup agreement. But then, there wouldnât be a story.
i am wondering also if she is somehow bloodrelated to ZhouMei or even for the head of Wufeng ( but like she doesnt…
I don't doubt she's related to the Feng family from Gong Valley. It shows in the martial arts she's been practicing. She said it was because her master is ZhouMei, but I think it's more, although maybe not to her knowledge.
So Dianzhu is the leader of WuFeng who was originally the leader of QingFeng sect. And the whole thing about QingFeng…
Thereâs a question Iâve been wondering about. Is Zhou Mei DuanZhuâs disciple or is she DuanZhuâs martial sister? I have a feeling they are martial sisters. DuanZhu likes ZhouMeiâs lover but he doesnât like her back, so in her spiteful and evilness, she cuts off the poor manâs limbs and sends the body back to ZhouMei.
From looking at Guo Jing Ming's filmography, he has scripted and directed movies with several parts (Tiny Times 1-4) and LORD (1-2). So, it's not uncommon for him to split work up or continue a franchise.
Because of the unsavory investigation about Chu Zi Jun which most of the time such incident resulted in a show being cancelled completely, Guo Jing Ming and iQIYI had to rush release MJTY and end at ep 24; which to me is a pretty decent ending - especially if we're getting a season 2. This way, they would have time to edit/shoot Season 2 since Chu Zi Jun isn't part of the cast at that point anyway.
If Guo Jing Ming didn't harbor thoughts of Season 2, he would have ended ep 24 at 42min mark, and just add some other fillers for the remaining 15 minutes. I'm sure he has a lot of original reels/materials to use.
why so many people said the ending is bad.. im just starting this drama today and now i kinda want to drop it…
DON"T DROP!!! It's really good. At least watch it for the beautiful cinematography, awesome camera shots, fantastic sound effects/background music. It keeps you thinking....don't read the spoilers and ruin your viewing experience. Enjoy!!!
The two FL's are so strong and resilient. Their characters are very well written and developed. YWS more yin and SGQ more yang. Since the beginning of the drama, they were fed what they thought was a deadly poison, so obviously they had to do everything they could to save themselves, and this resulted in endless scheming, lying, and whatever necessary to live another day. In the end, I really don't fault SGQ at all although she's not a favorite among some, maybe even most, of you. But she stayed true to her objective. She didn't lie when she told GSJ that his enemy is her enemy. YWS is a good match for GZY; they are both so selfless.

It may not be this year, but I'm hopeful.
